I Didnt understand The Rock's obsession with Pie. I was 13-14 at the time, and did not understand wath exactly he was referencing- now that I look back at it , the promos make more sense

The Godfather's entire gimmick went over my head...
I didn't really know what a "pimp" was supposed to be and I thought the hoes were just his entourage.

I was watching RAW with my nephew (14 at the time) and CM Punk said "I'm straight edge", and my nephew responded with "I don't like this new Edge, I liked the old one better I don't care if he was gay."

I was pretty up on a lot of stuff during the Attitude Era. Sadly, I had to find out what poontang pie meant by being grounded after emulating the Rock in front of my mom

Didn't see it until I was an adult, but in 1987, Ric Flair was cutting a promo about Jimmy Garvin and wanting to take Precious away from him. At the end when he was talking about taking Precious, he started singing "She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain When She Comes". And this one wasn't wrestling related, but the ultimate example of "it went over my head as a kid" had to be watching "Salute Your Shorts" at age 7 and hearing Donkeylips, while inside a public restroom, yell to Sponge "Hey, there's a machine in here that sells balloons!" I can't believe they put a condom joke in a 1991 Nickelodeon show.

This series of promos from Jim Cornette: They just seemed to be about a bunch of guys I had never heard of, and had no bearing to the ongoing story.

The whole "Sensational Sherri offering the Ultimate Warrior oral sex in exchange for a Title shot for Randy Savage" promo at Royal Rumble 1991 completely went over my 11 year old head.

What the heck was Terry Funk trying to tell us throughout most of the '80s? His promos were of the madman variety, but you still sat there scratching your head wondering, "Huh? Is he mad at his opponent, the fans, life in general, what?"
And forget "as a child","Macho Man" Randy Savage could also go off the deep end at times in 1999. I want a tenth of whatever he was on when in WCW. "I got two words for ya, the WolfPac sucks."
