I tried to watch it too, but realized quickly it wasn't for me, so I never got the appeal either. That, Big Bang Theory and HIMYM are all CBS shows that are incredibly popular, but I just don't find the least bit amusing. To me, the only decent one of out those three is HIMYM but I've even lost a bit of interest in that one. Two and a half men and The Big Bang Theory just flat out suck.

I still watch HIMYM, but it's fallen off pretty badly this season. Yet for some reason, I'll still watch. Probably to find out who the damn mother is.

I could watch it if there was nothing else on, it wasn't great but it's not like it was so bad I couldn't sit through the episodes.
The little kid annoyed me though. Never been a big fan of kids in tv shows and movies anyway and he almost spoilt the show for me.
The Kushton episodes are horrendous.

I've always gotten the impression that people found Charlie Sheen hilarious, and I don't know why. His run on Spin City run was decent, but not as good as Fox's.
BTW, whatever you do, don't ask Jake this question, or you'll make headlines in the not-good way.

I first got into the show back in 2007. I was into the show for a while until Charlie Sheen had left. I don't even think that I've watched a single Kutcher episode.
I thought it was funny. I still think it is, but it is over the top in a lot of areas.

I don't get it either. It's not overwhelmingly terrible or anything, but I've never found it even the slightest bit funny.

This is the appeal, I love Candy I think that's a part of it. Let's not forget Big Bang Theory has Kaley Cuoco as their cheesecake. Really I think it just comes down to personal taste. Some people after working a hard day want to come home and watch stupid comedies. Chuck Lorre provides that kind of entertainment. Roseanne on her website actually backed Charlie Sheen during the whole winning era and wrote an article dissecting the debacle. She doesn't think kindly of Chuck. I'd link it, but she curses and gets political in it.
