I thought the man known as Rikishi held that record? ... with (11) appearences ...
Although Kane has elminated the most people .. in the 2001 Rumble

The last 5 winners of the Rumble have gone on to win the Title at WM.
The last man to not win the title after winning the Rumble was The Rock, who was the last man to be pinned in the 4 way mainevent by Triple H at WM 2000 (16).

Well technically that didn't 'change hands' as such seeing as the title was vacant. However, as correctly pointed out elsewhere, the tile switched at RR99 and RR91

No mention of people being in the Rumble the longest?
I know Benoit, Flair, Backlund, Valentine and DeBiase are some of the wrestlers with the longest times in the match.

Just doing these from memory, but pretty sure I have them correct.
Here's the winners of all the rumbles:
88 Hacksaw Duggan (Only 20 people in this one) 89 Big John Studd (30 people from now on) 90 Hogan 91 Hogan 92 Flair 93 Yokozuna 94 Hart/Luger 95 HBK 96 HBK 97 SCSA 98 SCSA 99 Vince McMahon 2000 Rock 2001 SCSA 2002 Triple H 2003 Brock Lesnar 2004 Benoit 2005 Batista
Flair still has the record, 64 minutes in 1992, which he won.
Kane has the most eliminations in a rumble, 11 in 2001.
Snitsky has yet to win a Rumble, but its not his fault.

Backlund broke Flair's record in 1993 by a minute.

Are royal rumbles completely scripted, like Would a wrestler know that he would need to be eliminated by a certain person(s) at a certain time.
Also has anyone ever heard anything of any wresters staying in the Rumble longer than they should have? I mean imagine someone was in the last 2 and just threw the person that was supposed to win out the ring. What the hell would WWE do, they would have to punish the wrestler that won but how could they explain to fans that the winner of the Rumble wasn't going to Wrestlemania.

I remember for a year that Jamal just would not get eliminated for like FOREVER. He lasted to like, the last five, and I was just like "THIS GUY JUST WILL NOT DIE!"

Kane holds the record for most people eliminated in one year, 11 in I believe 2000 or 2001.

I'm assuming they know who's tossing them out, the general order of the eliminations, and roughly what time they'll happen.
The rest is probably mostly ad lib like normal matches.
Wouldn't be surprised if they did one empty arena practice run for each rumble, but not sure on that one way or the other.
As for people intentionally flubbing their spots/eliminating people, that might very well end up getting you fired. I'd imagine that'd be something like pinning someone in what's meant to be a near fall in the match, then at the last moment forcefully holding your opponents shoulders down surprising them...thus resulting in a 3 count.
If the intended winner was tossed out, accidentally or otherwise, they'd probably come up with some storyline reason/feud for the "accidental" winner to have to match up with the intended winner for the rights to the wrestlemania shot though.

One thing I hate about what has happened with the Royal Rumble is even if a wrestler wins and goes for either of the titles, a guy who got eliminated 1st in the Royal Rumble could still go on to win the other title which the winner of the rumble didn't go for.

They must have someone as a secondary winner incase an accident or something happens, or even an injury. Because now they have the 2 titles they will have 2 people already going into Wrestlemania so it wouldn't make much difference to their plans if one of them got eliminated. But say that wasn't the case it would be funny. You'd probably have some jobber trying to win it to put get a major push. Imagine Scotty 2 Hotty at wrestlemania...I smell ratings...

Here are some random Royal Rumble facts. The number 30 draw has never won the rumble. Razor Ramon never competed in the rumble match. The heavyweight title has only changed hands once at a Rumble event. (1997) The 2001 Rumble was the first and only PPV so far held in New Orleans. quote] Well actually the only WWF/WWE ppv in new orleans. WCW had Halloween Havock 1993 here. i was there. main event was cactus jack vs vader. it had that spin the wheel make the deal wrestle crapish gimmick

I see Lashley being one of the last 4 or 5 guys, maybe he'll draw a late number and start chucking guys out, leading to a Big Man Staredown with him and Big Show, where Show eliminates him. I wish Kennedy would've been at the Rumble, it sucks that he'll have to wait till 2007, if he's still in WWE at that time.

I've read in many a places that Pat Patterson is the guy who is in charge of coming up with the flow of the rumble, who comes in when, who goes out when, and such. Obviously this is excluding things the creative staff come up with like the winner and anything that develops storyline like a run-in or a team breaking up or someone going nuts on a certain guy after being eliminated.
