I feel I am the only other person on here to have watched it sadly.
The Collector is underrated and The Collection sadly seems to have been overlooked.
Both awesome movies with a great villan and my favourite protagonist in any horror movie in quite while.

I have to agree. All of the protagonists were likeable, all the traps were beautiful, it was gory but in a sense that it,was, beautiful if that makes sense, and I honestly believe it is the best movie of 2012 Also the one thing I truely love about this movie {Spoiler}Even at the end, when the villian gets what is coning to him, you NEVER see his face the whole movie It is the perfect movie involving suspense, blood, revenge, and evil in general.

The ending is what sealed the greatness of this movie. {Spoiler} No shenanigans at end like what most horror or movies in general do...it was SATISFYING the hero gets to have his revenge after all he has been through.
I anticipate a 3rd...but damn if there needs to be one because this movie ended perfectly...and if there is a 3rd I hope it is from someone elses POV as I feel arkin getting his revenge is perfect let him live and end his story there and take the story to someone else...because I really do not want it to be ruined with the next movie opening with Arkins death because that would royally piss me the hell off.

After looking it up, I have seen The Collector because it has the little girl from The Nanny

I never saw it, but I heard a lot of comparisons to the Saw series. Since you guys have seen it, agree or disagree?

Which leads to exactly what I said both are very underrated but are great horror movies.
Only draw back of The Collection that I have always said is that it went by way TOO damn fast , I assume it was in response to people complaining about the first being too slow...I don't share that same sentiment about the first I thought it was fairly well paced being much more suspenseful.

I honestly have to disagree. I may have to rewatch the first one but this one had me on the edge of my seats the whole time. I will honestly say the club scene is as epic as the opening of Ghost Ship. It was well paced everything came together nicely and it made, for an AWESOME movie experience
As for your question Spartan.....this is NOTHING like Saw. I get why people say that because everyone thinks this is horror porn or whatever the term is.....but these movies are not just blood and gore it is an actual story unfolding before us

Oh don't get me wrong it was very suspenseful..especially {Spoiler}once Abby betrayed them AGAIN. .. It's just that the movie felt like a 100mtr dash instead of a sprint...But I guess thats the mark of a great movie leave the audience wanting more right?. Anyways as for this being like SAW you can see miniscule influences since the director was involved with 3 saw films , but other then that this is nothing like SAW. Biggest difference?..The Collector/Collection actually has likeable people lol.

A prequel would work especially {Spoiler}with the introduction of Abby who is she? and why did he kept her alive?. I mean the movie did leave quite a few questions {Spoiler}mainly...the door man at the club who was that? the collector? someone like abby? there are ways they can go just as long as they leave the arkin story finished because it was the perfect ending for his character

Went in reverse of the usual. Straight to video original then a theatre-release sequel.

I know Josh Stewart(the guy who plays Arkin). He is my cousin's cousin(no relation to me). He would come to my cousin's house and we would play football or basketball. I haven't seen The Collection yet but I did watch The Collector and enjoyed it. I really have nothing else to add.
