You think he would have done well if, following the storyline "injury," he jumped to WCW? For some reason I can only see him being used in the Oklahoma gimmick instead of Dr. Death..... So no.

I was looking forward to seeing him face Jericho instead of vanishing like a SCAMROCK!

I always liked Shamrock and was pretty happy to see him on a regular basis on TV then I remember Jericho injuring him and he was gone after that. I still drop the 'STAY OUTTA MY WAY!!' when I'm about to snap

Freaking love Shamrock. Easily my favourite wrestler from the Attitude era. I still do the whole "Face punch and scream" pump up thing he used to do on occasion, and if I get an Ankle Lock in sparring, I start yelling like he did.
Also, he had the most Badass music ever.

Ken Shamrock's reign of terror was derailed by Mr. Hughes. First name Mister, middle name period, last name Hughes.

The WWE making him cut promos hurt his character. He did not need to. Classic. I don't think he was constantly pushed as after he lost the IC title, he just floated around. If he stayed into 2000 though, I can see him feuding with Kurt Angle, Tazz, and The Radicalz, that would be too good to pass up.

Shamrock was a good example of WWF giving a constant push to the right guy, at least. I wonder if he was so protected because he always had the UFC to go back to and he'd just leave if he was ever made to look to weak. In a way he's a throwback to the territory era guys in that way, in that random upper midcarders had to be protected or they'd bail. That meant more protected guys, but also way less clean finishes.

He was alright, but I never saw anything special in him honestly. He was intense and looked threatening, but he wasn't very good on the mic and he never was great in the ring or anything.

JR said in an interview that he wishes they gave him the Goldberg streak gimmick because he thinks it would have been better on Shamrock than it was for Bill
im kinda thinking it would have, i thought the dude was awesome
Bret was pushing to drop the Belt to him on the raw after SS 97, imagine that

Insane draw for Wrestlemania 14. It might even develop into a shoot match.

He seemed, by all accounts, to have a better head on his shoulders than others, even Severn. He knew what was good for business and from what others have said about the guy, didn't mind doing the job. If he did though? Austin better hope Tyson would actually step in...not that I think he would've done much good if he didn't get a lucky shot in on Ken. At the time, Ken really was one of the most dangerous men in mainstream fighting.

Ever since someone applied the lyrics "I. WEAR. SWEATY GREY T-SHIRTS!" on here, it's kinda ruined for me. Shamrock's is miles better IMO though.
