Has any item of clothing ever had such an epic fall? It went from gentlemen/Mad Man/Cool Italian dude to "this guy is going to be a virgin forever" almost over night.
I realize things like Zubaz pants haven't exactly kept their cool, but those things are just quick trends, the Fedora had like an 80 year run!

I wear a wide brimmed old leather one for fishing about 60 times a year.
So what do you want to say about me again? I didn't quite hear you the first time.

Hats should come back. Those guys in Mad Men look cool wearing them.

A fedora is only as cool as the person wearing it. Unfortuntely it's mostly worn by really, really uncool people.

Fedoras are best worn with a nice suit. I think Bruno Mars and Tom Waits are two of the few people that can get away with wearing them without one.
And maybe Miz, but only as a tongue-in-cheek douche heel.

The real answer to why the fedora went out of style was that JFK didn't wear a hat. Look it up, it's weird how those things work. Fedoras are best worn with a nice suit. This is the kicker, IMO. It seems like any time I see fedoras being worn, it's always by some dude in a t-shirt with long hair, scraggly facial hair, and baggy jeans. You can't wear a classy hat and be "Hot Topic" from the neck down. Well, I guess you can, but It just doesn't mesh well. I want to see the bowler hat make a comeback. It seems like it should have come back with the handlebar mustache, but no dice, unfortunately.

One day, top hats made out of green construction paper with feathers glued to them will come back into style. That one I made in fifth grade isn't just sitting in my closet for no reason.

Fedoras are still pretty popular with older latino men. I would love to pull one off but I have a huge dome
