I just noticed that when Bret Hart first entered the WWF, he had an extra T in his name.

I hate that they omitted the "The" from his name.

I just noticed that when Bret Hart first entered the WWF, he had an extra T in his name. There's a Buddy Rogers interview segment from tv in 1983 where Hart is interviewed. His name is Brett Heart, displayed on the screen. This took place on and off through 1984, switching Hart and Heart interchangably I guess depending on whoever was producing. -Ian

Whatever happened to Bret Hitman Clarke? I think a great match at Starrcade that year would have been Bret Hart vs the guy who tried to impersonate him, Bret Clarke.

Oddly enough, I have an autograph from Bret and it's signed
Bret "Hitman" Hart
No extra T, no The.

I just noticed that when Bret Hart first entered the WWF, he had an extra T in his name. My son is named Brett. I fear he will get the same treatment as I did, although the only Bret's I know are Bret Michaels, Bret Hart, and Bret Boone. My name is spelled E-R-I-K, not freaking C! Semper Fi, Erik Majorwitz

I heard that they originally had a different plan for him which explains the extra T. Originally at the end of his promos he was gonna say "That's B-R-E Double T HA HA!"

Well, Bret Hart is his real name (spelled as such)...so regardless of the random goofups by production teams, it'd make sense for him to sign things that way.

DON'T you DARE even joke like that. Yeah, unlike other second or third generation superstars, Bret Hart doesn't suck. I mean people like you Erik Watts, Randy Orton, Jeff Jarrett...
