So, just watched this on Netflix, and thought I'd ask around and see who all's seen it and what they think.
Personally, thought it was pretty damn good. I've not read the storyline it was based on, but did enjoy it a good bit and I imagine I'd like that too given it was written by the same person. Art style was an odd choice but it fit surprisingly well, and the acting was pretty top-notch.
Only real complaint is that the members of the Elite that aren't Manchester Black are pretty one-note. He's fun, though, so fair enough.

Me as well. I got to say this was up there with Justice League: Doom as my favorite I've seen on Netflix.

The ending fight is literally the definition of Superman forgetting his own powers.

It is the only DC animated film on Netflix I've yet to see.
I've liked all of the ones I've seen so far, though. Oh and I must say that I like how DC/WB kept most of the voices from the DCAU shows in most of the films. Tim Daly, Kevin Conroy, and Susan Eisenberg ARE and forever WILL be Supes, Bats, and Wonder Woman to me. Conroy and Eisenberg especially.

Michael Rosenbaum might work great for the animated version of Wally West, but he's a poor fit for the comics Barry Allen. I never like Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman. And why is Nathan Fillion voicing Hal Jordan to sound like George W. Bush? As for The Elite, I enjoyed it, although I do think it radically oversimplified the idea of superheroes killing.

Just saw the film. Loved it.
Reminded me a bit of Kingdom Come what with society embracing a new breed of murdering antiheroes over the non-lethal old guard.
Manchester Black was a great character. Also I guess Cthulhu's monster girl influence has started to get the better of me as I found Menagerie to be pretty alluring. Coldcast and Hat were just fillers for me.

Manchester Black should be the villain in the JLA movie.

The ending fight is literally the definition of Superman forgetting his own powers. He was trying to lull them into a false sense of security though. Manchester even said "He thought the whole thing through. He was messing with us all this time!"

Did anyone else think of Christopher Daniels when the Hat pulled a martini class out of his hat.

I liked Manchester's Black crew more than Superman. They had such cool powers and much better costuming. They just looked cooler all around.
Superman's costume is a real pet peeve of mine. I know it's a 'classic' and they keep it around because it's iconic and ultimately makes DC a ton of money, but it needs updating like no body's business. Tights should be removed from the superhero-verse post haste.

True, and the Action Comics t-shirt and jeans look was pretty cool to me. I was one of the few who thought it was a step up.

I was one of the few who thought it was a step up. I think I'm one of the few fans that actually prefers the 52 Supes's "armored bodysuit" look over the circus strongman tights. It's still mostly the classic costume, but with a few tweaks to make it more practical. His 90's mullet was the worst, though. Electric Superman was weird, granted, but even that was preferable to Billy Ray Kent.

I liked it, Hat was one of my favorite sidekick villains. I want to read the comics its based off of and if anyone has knowledge of it Manchester doesn't wear a shirt but rather that Union Jack is a big tattoo right

I thought it was a pretty fun adaptation. Not quite as good as the original story, but fun nonetheless.
I do agree I wish the art was less 'cartoony' for this type of story.
