WWE 13 amongst other things has reminded me how awesome this was. I loved it.
King bigging up Shane's "MEAN STREETS OF GREENWICH" upbringing is a highlight, but the whole feud was awesome. The posse included.
Thoughts?

It makes remember that fans actually once cared about X-Pac Don't think anyone would ever argue that the "kid" was hot as hell for a while there. They used to use him as the one who'd take the Corporate Champ to the limit.

to this day I've never forgiven Triple H for screwing over X-pac at Wrestlemania. when I was a kid X-pac was one of my favorites and I REALLY wanted to see him beat Shane.

I was way into Shane back then. He was probably in my Fave Five at the time.

Shane's matches in general had no right to be as good as they were - I mean given the role he had, then his matches shouldn't have been expected to be anything close to a good wrestling match, rather a spectacle of a wrestler getting his hands on Shane.
Instead the Boy Wonder produced some Attitude Era classics, and with a variety of opponents - hanging with Kurt Angle, X-Pac, Test, Steve Blackman and even producing the goods against Vince.
Not surprising he's a lot of people's favourite McMahon - mine included.

It really annoys me that he never stuck around. I was hoping and preying for the day he ran the show.
And as a performer he really embraced it all. Promo/ring work etc, he had it all.
I also used to love his opponent-specific nicknames he'd give himself and the slogans he'd put on the shirts.

It brought us THE MEAN STREET POSSE!!!! I loved the Mean Street Posse, but was always disappointed that Willie Greene never showed up, after he (whoever he would have been) was mentioned as being a member.
