Being that the internet is ripe with people saying whatever stupid thing they think, what has been the most idiotic logic you've heard?
I remember a few years ago when the first Hulk movie came, people were tearing apart the horrible cgi(I forgot what forum I was looking at). Some guy comes and gives a whole tirade of "The movie is not real! Of course it doesn't look realistic!" All told through the tone of "Stop making fun of a movie I like!"

Amazing to me how often this one happens.
"NO, YOU DIDN'T FEEL THAT WAY. I KNOW HOW YOU FELT".
The "apparently I'm in your head and know your thoughts better than you do". Always a classic.

I don't think this violates the politics rule because, while this happened during a political debate, it's soooooooo far off course that it's just absurd.
In Spring, 2003 during the start of the 2nd Iraq War, our teacher divided up the class to have a debate on it. One student on the side opposing-the-war based her entire argument on the American Civil Rights movement and that "if african-americans had to overcome so much in this country, the Iraqi people should have to face their hardships the same way too." Absolutely baffling.

I was walking past my favourite pizza place once and I saw a rat crawling around under the feet of two people eating there. I'd eaten there a good 150+ times by this point.
I mentioned this to my friends and we all agreed, probably best not to eat there now.
One other night we were getting takeaway and someone was pushing for us to use that takeaway, and we were like, dude, we saw a rat there. He said:
'Yeah but you'd still be eating there if you hadn't seen the rat!'
I was actually too baffled to speak. He was absolutely correct, and yet... so stupid, all at once.

I was on a forum dedicated to Resident Evil, and got into a totally pointless argument with a poster who I normally really got along with (and still did even after this debate). The reason this argument was pointless was because it was about, of all things, Resident Evil: Survivor. You know, the crappy first-person side-game for the PS1 that is hailed as probably the worst game in the series.
Anyway, the thread was a debate about which ending of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was the official canon ending: the one where the bad guy character Nicholai dies or the one where he gets to the helicopter first and escapes Raccoon City. The poster I was arguing with brought up a commonly used piece of evidence to indicate that, officially, Nicholai lives: in Survivor, there's a file which contains reports to Umbrella written by Nicholai, the last of which is dated several days after the events of the ending of RE3, and in the English version of the game, is also signed by Nicholai.
I pointed out that in the original Japanese version of Survivor, the final report in that file is actually not signed by Nicholai, but was instead signed by a member of the "Umbrella B.O.W. Development Staff." I suggested that this meant that it may have been a mistranslation in the English version to not change the signature in the file; it wouldn't be surprising, given the fact that Survivor ain't exactly the most meticulously-made game out there, to put it mildly. This, I argued, meant that the Survivor file's worth as evidence towards canon was questionable, and that it actually indicated the opposite: that, in canon, Nicholai dies.
But this poster immediately responded to my point about the likely mistranslation by saying "Yeah, and the English version of Survivor was made AFTER the Japanese version, which means it's NEWER, which means that it replaces what was said in the original Japanese version of the game." Q.E.D., the English language version of the document in question was the only one worth paying attention to, and since it indicates that Nicholai survived Raccoon City, then, in canon, he lives.
So remember that, folks: supbar translations of video games, even crappy side games that the developers probably spend a whole day putting thought into, have the power to effect entire game series' story and canon. By that logic, you know how in Modern Warfare 2, at the beginning of the infamous Moscow airport massacre level, Makarov tells Allen "Remember: No Russian?" Pttth, we're way behind the times, because in the Japanese version of the game, his line is translated as "Kill them, they're only Russians!" No, that wasn't an enormous mistake in translation that made a supremely controversial video game moment look even worse: since the Japanese version of the game was made AFTER the original American version, it's newer, which means everything in it replaces what was said in the American version! I'll bet you didn't know that Makarov wasn't warning Allen about blowing their cover as Americans in a terrorist attack, but was actually making derogatory, racist comments about HIS OWN NATIONALITY. But hey, that's the until-now unknown power of crappy, lazy international marketing!
Then again, I was participating in an argument about freakin' Resident Evil: Survivor, so I probably wasn't exactly a bastion of common sense myself...

When I criticize the fact that the media just forgot some really bad things that celebrities and/or athletes have done and act like they never happen, somebody always comes with "HEY!! HE/SHE MAD A MISTAKE! YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU'VE NEVER MADE A MISTAKE IN YOUR LIFE!"
Yes, I have made mistakes. But, I've never murdered, rape, hit a women in my life. It doesn't excuse them for doing it and for the media or the general public to just flat out ignore it and hold them in such high regard.

Inserting the word "bro" into the conversation also indicates the person don't know what the hell their talking about.

"Well, you've never done _____ before, so how can you even comment?"
What a stupid argument that is. I'm not an architect, nor do I work road crew, but if there's a massive hole in a bridge and its foundations are collapsing, I can tell you with good certainty something horrible is wrong.

DOUBLE this. "You've never done it" is quite possibly the top of the anti-point category. I've never been to culinary school and I don't plan on going; doesn't mean I don't know a you-know-what sandwich when I see, smell, or - God forbid - taste one.

I'm not an architect, nor do I work road crew, but if there's a massive hole in a bridge and its foundations are collapsing, I can tell you with good certainty something horrible is wrong. To be fair I've inspecting bridges that are "falling apart" and they are structurally sound and not dangerous. The "faults" are all in non-loadbearing additions. But in your defense, part of our job is to make sure things are not only safe, but LOOK safe as well. BACK ON TOPIC: During winter storms we get countless calls from people wanting to get plowed out, and everybody thinks they should be first and godforbid if they are last. I'm still trying to figure out to this day the dude that told us he should always be plowed out first because "I PAY MY TAXES" as if nobody else in the universe does. yes, that was his ENTIRE argument for being plowed out first, "I PAY MY TAXES". Not that he pays more, or whatever the hell that is even supposed to mean... just simply that he pays taxes. Congrats, I guess.

Not so much bad logic, but something that is too funny not to throw in this thread. I love my mom but we had a argument and she said the following words
"What do I look like, a idiot???" I busted into laughter at that point.

Speaking of the Japan earthquake/tsunami, one of the stupidest arguments I've ever heard was that we shouldn't have sent them aid because it was "payback for Pearl Harbor." I mean, putting aside that the end of World War 2 was nearly 70 years ago and that since then the United States and Japan have become staunch allies. I think we paid them back in kind for Pearl Harbor with a little something called "nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki."
