I'm surprised, for all the love indie music and wrestling get on this forum, that more of you aren't indie beer drinkers. Dogfish Head, Brooklyn Lager, Magic Hat, Surly's, Grain Belt, Allagash etc. Whole new world. I was just posting about mass produced beer when I said PBR is my favorite American beer. I love trying different beers from alot of smaller breweries. Everything I've had from Lost Coast brewery out of Eureka has been superb, especially their Tangerine.

I dunno, most beer tastes like rotten, liquid-y bread to me.

That's like eating at Denny's to determine whether or not you like steak. Out of curiousity, does anyone here drink either Malt Liquor like Cobra or other drinks like Joose or 4 Lokos? After college, I used to drink malt liquor fairly exclusively, knowing my roommates and/or their friends wouldn't touch it. After about a year or so, they made friends that liked it just as I lost my taste for it. Few things go as good with an action film as Colt 45 though.

If there was ever a reason to live in Minnesota, it's to drink Furious 'till the cows come home. Ever had Bourbon County Brand Stout before? Pure alcoholic divinity. Yeah, I adore Surly's. My favorite is their Cynic. Excellent beer right there. Never had BCBS before. See it a few times, but never pulled the trigger. Based on your recommendation, I'll try it next time I see it, thanks.

Well, if we're covering favorite beers now, then I'm tossing out Beck's, specially Beck's Dark. I will straight destroy a person to get a six pack of that deliciousness.
Funny thing is that I heard about Beck's from the movie Beerfest when it was listed as one of Germany's greatest beers. Was really disappointed to find out that the other two beers, (Steinemarzen and Rottenburger) didn't exist.

I don't think I've ever even tasted beer before. I've had a small few other alcoholic drinks, but that taste always turns me away. Besides, I don't really find the idea of a fermented wheat drink very tasty sounding anyway.

Miller Light's disgusting (it and Heiniken are the only two beers I won't even drink for free) and Stella's only good on tap. I wouldn't judge the wonders of beer on that dog piss at all.

It's kinda tough to point you in the right direction since it really depends on what type of flavor your looking for. If you take my tastes, I like heavier, hoppier beers so dark ales, stouts, bocks, and IPAs are more up my alley. That ism't to say I like lighter beers like lagers, pilsners and so on, but it just depends on what you're looking for.

IPA's are kind of the big trend these days.
I'm new to beer myself, so I've not got around to that.
I have to say that out of all I've had so far, my favorite, by FAR, is Warsteiner Verum.
I still like the Yuengling Black & Tan, but Warsteiner has massively eclipsed it.

Yuengling is where it's at. I've realized that the only people who care about Yuengling are those who live in the parts of PA east of State College. Yes, I fit that description. It's ubiquitous here.

Well they have expanded in recent years. I even saw it in North Carolina a few years ago but for the most part your statement is correct. But hey whatever everybody else is missing out.
