EVERYTHING AS A WHOLE, NO WINNERS OR LOSERS
Me personally, outside of the scrotum and shoving ice cream up Punk's ass, I loved it. Semi-serious Rock has always drawn me in, wish he'd go with it more.

Awesome, awesome segment.
Your arms are just too short to box with God.

THIS is what Rock/Cena should have been.

Just gonna repost my thoughts from the RAW thread:
OH s***!
There was some misfires (mainly from the Rock's end) but all in all, fantastic segment. I wasn't looking forward to this match at all before that segment. Now, I can't wait for it.

I got absolute chills. ESPECIALLY that last promo from Punk.

Liked it. There were some things The Rock said that made me shake my head, but I've accepted that it's part of his shtick. He's still one of my all time favorites. Punk was fantastic.
I haven't been this excited for a match since I've been a kid, to be honest. Made me realize why I still like wrestling.

They both rambled their same old tired routines until it was time for the show to end.
So I am neutral towards it for now.

If people come in here talking about who won that promo then they truly missed the point. We just saw two men who weren't afraid of each other take two different directions in going about it and it was fan-freakin-tastic. Way better than Cena trying to out-joke The Rock last year.
THIS is a feud. Single-handedly got me right back into Raw.

Punk was great but Rock was lame. If Rock could step up his game and not be childish or make jokes then it would be a lot better.

I really, really wanted serious Rock. He started off well then it was a steep drop.

Does Punk's actual promo before Rock showed up count? Because that was actually damn good. Wrapped up a lot of the plot from the last year, as well as getting a little of that 'pipebomb' fire to him again after so long of the 'respect' stuff.
Then "If you smell what food the Rock is naming randomly this week" hits, and the whole thing just all the way down the scale from "Loved it" to "Sucked".

Both did amazing job.
Wish Punk would reach for new material though, kinda gets abit stale watching him wheel out the same rhetoric.

Again, gonna repost from the Raw thread:
To me, the big reason why I think this feud has so much more potential than Cena/Rock is because Punk is such a great contrast to the Rock's style. Cena and Rock are practically brothers from another mother.

I thought this was great. Both sides had points that fell flat with certain audiences, which makes the feud feel even better. Punk's "good wrestlers like Tyson Kidd" points fell really flat with people who watch wrestling for the ridiculous over the top stuff, while Rock's stuff did the opposite. Now THIS is two opposite people wrestling each other. Plus it didn't feel forced.
I'm sure the following weeks are going to be filled with people saying one side is unbelievably better than the other, but that's the fun of it. They really did a good job in making each wrestler appeal to a certain part of the audience and that makes me hyped for it because damn, they got way better chemistry together than I thought they would.
And I think we need to give both of them credit here; not many people thought the those two would match up well promo-wise because their styles are so different, but they somehow made it work. Rock responded with logic, but still kept his possibly illegal levels of testosterone during his replies, while Punk kept his logic while getting some straight edge doses of testosterone. They adapted to each other really well and that was great.
I loved it. Rock's insults are not for everyone and neither is Punk's reality stuff - but they somehow combined together to make it work. And hyped as hell.

It was incredible. Punk/Rock plays out so much better than Rock/Cena.
The fire is lit in Punk's eyes for the first time in a long time, and that's only a good thing.
