The Jets are halfway towards actually rectifying the mess they've created. They've fired Mike Tannenbaum and Tony Sparano, now they just need to can Rex Ryan and find a replacement for Mark Sanchez and they actually might be making strides in the right direction.
That being said, if the reports are true that any general manager candidate being considered has to keep Rex Ryan as head coach, then the team is going to continue to flounder in mediocrity for the foreseeable future. Which is fine by me. Honestly, as a Patriots fan, the best case scenario is that the Jets make no changes.

Wouldn't it be the funniest thing if Denver and/or New England both choked this weekend and the Brady/Manning dream game never happens?

It's funny because they're basically the same team with two totally different philosophies. Offenses with one good receiver, a good but inconsistent quarterback and a great runningback, and defenses that are really banged up but can still pressure mediocre offenses. The Texans are content to grind it out, while the Ravens wanna run this long-bomb Al Davis offense that only works on bad secondaries.

Came across this on Reddit. Outside of a tavern up in Denver. I'm pretty superstitious over these Broncos so I won't say a whole lot - but I will say ;D.

Man, it's getting brutal in this house. My older brother is trying to find a safe haven for the game on Saturday. He's the hardcore Broncos fan...when my mother (and to lesser extent, us) are Ravens fans to our graves (we are from Baltimore after all). This could be a long couple of weeks.

I actually see one of the two favorites in the AFC losing.
The NFC games are up in the air in my opinion. I think Atlanta will lose in their first playoff game again but it will be close.

I see the road to the Superbowl in the NFC will be through Candlestick. I don't see the Pack winning in SF nor do I see ATL beating Seattle.

Woody Johnson already said in an interview that Rex would be safe if they didn't make the playoffs this year. The man is a total idiot when it comes to being the owner of a sports team.

Bengals OC Jay Gruden confirmed that it will be a high priority this offseason to find a "game changer" at running back.

I really don't get what potential GM of any decent quality is going to want to come to the Jets if he has Rex Ryan potentially undermining every personnel decision he makes with Woody Johnson's blessing.

As much ridicule as the Jets go, they weren't even the worst team in their own division!
That's my Bills. We haven't made the playoffs since SmackDown had just developed traction on UPN. Think about THAT.

According to CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora, the Jaguars are "very likely" to announce they are parting ways with coach Mike Mularkey after hiring David Caldwell as GM.
