I have a bad feeling that he'll turn into "Mexican John Cena", like how Sheamus is "Irish John Cena". So face jerk with a spanish accent instead of an irish accent, gotcha.

I am still unable to care about him being champion.
But i guess it is better than heel del rio as champ.

I'm just amazed that the guy is now a 3-time world champion, a Royal Rumble winner and a former MITB winner. That guy?

All I can say is that it is better than Big Show.

It's okay I guess. Just don't have him lose it to that goofball Dolph Ziggler. Let Del Rio show what he can do as a babyface champion and see if it's better than him as a heel WWE Champion. If Punk can have this ungodly long and tiring reign...then Del Rio should get at least a few months with it.

I've run the gamut of emotions from A to B over it, however anything that puts the always amazing Ricardo Rodriguez in the spotlight is OK with me. The man is a golden Ice cream bar dipped in awesome sawce. Loved his reaction to Bertie's win.

It's a breathe of fresh air. Del Rio rejuvenated his career by turning face and it's less awkward than the Miz's.

Big Del Rio/Dos Caras Jnr fan, always tried to wave the flag for the guy when there was a seemingly unreasonable hate bandwagon about him on here (albeit when he turned face people seemed to drop off that very quickly, so fair play to y'all), so I'm a very happy wrestling fan right now.
The end of Smackdown was magnificent.

Why didn't Ziggler cash in after the match? It was LMS Del Rio wouldn't have had a chance.

I have a bad feeling that he'll turn into "Mexican John Cena", like how Sheamus is "Irish John Cena". But we already had a Juan Cena...

I'd like to see what is done from here.
Also, when you think about it, this was a match where he won not by using an underhand tactic of the armbar, but decided to pin down the Big Show using the announcer's table (generally, wrestlers just flatten it). Kinda refreshing.

he loses it back to show at royal rumble and show loses it to ryback at wm29. i think that will happen.

I wanna wait and see.
I think Face Del Rio kinda works, and as people said, it's fresher than Juan Bradshaw Layfield babbling on about "destiny"
My problem is, it feels like what it is - a title change that has come out of nowhere. If this was the result of even just a couple of months build of a face ADR chasing Big Show, It would sit better with me. But as it is, I can't help but feel he is just keeping it warm for Dolph Ziggler.
Kudos to WWE for making the win look like a really big deal when he did beat Show though.

This is just me speculating now but I think if Ziggler is the world champ he can't be in the rumble. So in Dolph's mind he would rather not cash in yet so he can enter and win the rumble and face the wwe champ at mania with still having a guaranteed title shot for the World title as well. Though I am not sure if that is the case, since I don't believe the wwe allows world champs in the rumble but who knows.
