**Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com and R.D. Reynolds from Wrestlecrap have announced a new book deal with ECW Press to release an updated 10th Anniversary edition of their 2004 release “Death of WCW” including the original (and much longer) manuscript along with updated stories, interviews and chapters including one chapter dedicated to all of the excuses given out since 2001 from those inside the company and breaking down those excuses with...facts. For those that have not read their original book it one of the best wrestling books I have ever read and a constant resource I use when it comes to writing pieces or doing reviews so I definitely recommend the updated version. The book is set for release in early 2014.
====================
this should be interesting.

I would be interested in this. I really enjoyed the original but I felt it got to a point where it seemed like things were getting skimmed over, so the original manuscript would maybe fill in the blanks.

I'm going to guess the original manuscript has even more praise for Ric Flair and even harsher words for Hulk Hogan.

Will be interesting to see what they say to Nash's claims that he wasn't the booker during times the book said he was. I loved the book, still re-read it once every couple years, but there was some stuff I found hard to believe. Also, they went super easy on Ric Flair, considering how many guys still have beef with him. Same with Dusty.

On the whole I liked the book but I felt it went a little overboard on the wcw bashing.

On the whole I liked the book but I felt it went a little overboard on the wcw bashing. What? It NEEDED to! WCW was making money and had an absurd amount of money behind them and then they ran themselves into the ground. There was no room to lay off. The colossal failure of WCW is probably the most pivotal moment in the business' history.

One of the only books I've reread by choice. It'll be fun to read the update.

What I mean is that the writers took some things out of context just to bash wcw. One example is how Sid exaggerated his undefeated streak during his feud with Goldberg. What's so bad about a heel acting heelish? Certainly it's an entertaining book but I think it would have been better if they didn't hunt for things to joke about.
