Yeah, while on one hand I'm a touch miffed by the double-(and triple)-dipping, I can legitimately say this set reflects the absolute best In Your House had to offer.

Looks like they're using 1997 matches to leverage people into buying another standard definition blu ray. I'm happy to see they included Austin vs HHH at Buried Alive. Works for me.

That Austin/Bret match is funny since its the only match where Austin ever beat Bret, by DQ no less.

I found an extra copy of this out in the wild today... I already have a sealed copy, but I figured I could have an extra copy for trading purposes. Especially since this most likely the 2nd rarest WWE Blu Ray out there, and the rarest WWE Blu with an actual case lol.

Picked up the The Best of Monday Nitro Vol. 2 at K-Mart today. Unfortunately they only had it on DVD, but still cool to get it a few days early. I've noticed at least around here anyway that K-Mart tends to break street date on their wrestling dvd's.

The bonus Blu Ray that came with the PS3 version of WWE '12: The People's Edition. Basically just a recap of Rock's return in 2011. It doesn't have an actual case though, there it a little compartment for it in the slipcase of the game.

There is a total of 6 on there. Not exactly mass quantities. I didn't mean for my second sentence to project any negativity. Sorry if it did. I was just wondering what makes it rare. And I'm sorry if my response came off as defensive. The Blu in question was only available in the collectors edition of Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 for the PS3. Its not super extreme rare or anything like that. But of the 47 Blu's that WWE has released in the US, its not as easy to come by as all the others. Obviously there is a big difference between WWE Blu and DVD releases as the former has less than 50, and the latter has 600 plus. So basically if you can find it at a decent price, its not a bad idea to go ahead and pick it up. All the matches on it are true to the title as they pit Smackdown guys vs. Raw guys. Here is the match listing. Raw, March 10, 2008 -- Rematch of Wrestlemania 23 Money in the Bank Participants: Finlay vs. Mr. Kennedy Smackdown, March 14, 2008 --4 on 2 Steel Cage Match: Ric Flair & Shawn Michaels vs. Edge, Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins & Chavo Guerrero Smackdown, March 28, 2008 -- Interncontinental Champion vs. United States Champion (Non-title): Chris Jericho vs. MVP Wrestlemania 24, March 30, 2008 -- Battle for Brand Supremacy: Batista vs. Umaga Raw, March 31, 2008: Matt Hardy vs. Randy Orton Backlash, April 27, 2008: Shawn Michaels vs. Batista Judgement Day, May 18, 2008: Jeff Hardy vs. MVP Raw, May 19, 2008 -- Winner Faces Shawn Michaels in a Stretcher Match at WWE One Night Stand: Chris Jericho vs. Batista So if anything, the absurdity of a WWE Blu Ray from 2008 featuring a Zack Ryder match makes it worth having for the lulz. Also... It looks like I'm gonna gonna hit the 500 mark at some point this year. By 500 I mean WWF/E only. Considering I only had around 85 in 2010, it says a lot about me... That I really need a life lol. But still, I love this hobby, so my inner geek is absolutely thrilled about joining the "500 Club". If anything, at least it better than joining another club that Vince himself created... Although with the money WWE has made off me I guess some would consider me a member of that club as well lol.

I was looking at the In Your House listing, and there are two things to say about it:
1. They withstood the urge to have the Hell in a Cell match. Good for them, and second... 2. TWO matches from Buried Alive! I already have the Undertaker/Mankind match, thanks to "Tombstone", but I look forward to watching Austin/Hunter Hearst Helmsley.

BTW, I found out some notes about the Nitro 2 DVD.
*Goldberg's WWE theme is still placed over his WCW theme, which I don't get, but also the Megadeth theme, which is an improvement. *Sting's "Man Named Sting" track is also removed. This better not be his classic entrance music, because if it is...

It seems so random, but heel vs. heel is such a rare thing from WWE. If you wanna see another heel only match check out The Best of Saturday Nights Main Event. It features Randy Savage vs. Jake Roberts for the IC title.

WWE started replacing all the themes that were on the 1993 WCW Slam Jam album late last year. After years of using the songs (because they assumed WCW owned them, and WWE owns WCW; they did get actual copies of the songs when they bought WCW), they now replace them because they are currently being sued by Jimmy Papa, the guy who composed the SJ themes with Michael Hayes. They also have had to stop using "Badstreet USA" because of Papa's involvement, even though Hayes co-wrote and sang the song. WWE, at least for the time being, can no longer use.... All 11 songs from the WCW Slam Jam album (Ron Simmons, Sting, Cactus Jack, Dustin Rhodes, Barry Windham, Johnny B. Badd, Ricky Steamboat, Steiners, Jake Roberts, Rick Rude, and a Fabulous Freebirds song called "Freebird Forever") 2 Cold Scorpio's WCW theme Badstreet USA I'm a Freebird and What Was Your Excuse

A glaring omission is the three-way cage match between The Rock, Mankind, and Ken Shamrock, complete with pre-match interviews. Rock's promo before the match was one of my all-time favorite Rock promos (maybe my favorite) and Mankind gave an entertaining one too. The match itself was great and it was perhaps The Rock's first big match as a face.
A lot of recycled matches on this DVD.

It features Randy Savage vs. Jake Roberts for the IC title. I believe Triple H was a last minute replacement for Savio Vega, who was injured the night before. If not Savio, I'm absolutely certain it was the result of an injury. Same thing with the Mankind-Godwin match at International Incident. Mankind was supposed to face Jake Roberts (which would have been awesome) but Godwin replaced him, and it was announced literally moments before Godwin made his way to the ring.

Looks like im going to have to pick up best of Clash of the Champions and Best of Nitro volume 1.
