I too thought it was great. It seems like it was a swerve for the sake of a swerve, but that's not ALWAYS a bad thing. Russo and others just overuse it. I don't have a problem with how it is at the moment.
I will have a problem if they can't explain why this is happening. I think the odds are that they can't.

I mean, I guess I give them points for it being unexpected, but that doesn't make it any good. Remember when Taz debuted in TNA as Joe's manager and as a part of the Main Event Mafia? Only he can't take any bumps or do anything besides talk, and he's not even that good at talking, so within weeks he was the announce table and acted like the MEM thing never happened?
Yeah, that's what I think will happen here.

A&8 consists of a round mound of sound, the lesser of the Dudley Boys, and the midcard from WWE from the last 4 years. What a threatening force.

As I pointed out in the Impact thread, Taz voted NO on Wes Brisco's gutcheck, so I'm wondering how that makes any sense whatsoever.

I'll give them credit. That may have been funnier than the Devon reveal at BFG.

It was shocking, but ultimately pointless. Tazz is a retired announcer. He won't really add too much to the Aces and Eights. This group needs to gain some star power before it completely runs out of steam.

I really think they're just stringing this along with whatever they can throw at it until they stumble upon some big name guy that needs work to bring into this.

Sure, it was different. But what the hell?
Who cares about Tazz? And what will he bring to Aces and Eight's except more promo time? It seems like they honestly had no clue how to have a swerve, so they just threw the Tazz swerve in there, just to have a swerve.
It's like Michael Cole joining The Nexus during 2010.

As I pointed out in the Impact thread, Taz voted NO on Wes Brisco's gutcheck, so I'm wondering how that makes any sense whatsoever. Well, they can either say it was to throw people off or he didn't know Brisco was in because Brisco or Taz wasn't patched in so they never saw full club members or something. Anyway, I loved it. Great reveal and will be interesting to see where they go from here. I imagine he'll be pissed that TNA added Generic McVanilla to the announce team so he joined or he doesn't like how Hogan was treating his brothers. I went back and watched the reveal and he was talking to Ray like he was turning his back on the Aces and 8s by marrying Brooke which could be different and explain Bully turning face. He fell in love and abandoned the club or something. As for exactly why Taz, I'd think to further the Ray turn and finally give the Aces a voice that doesn't use that damned voice modulator.

I liked the -turn-, but Tazz? Really? Do they hope people tune in to see freaking Tazz? Well I sure won't, because quite frankly I don't care.
