I liked it. They could say that Taz was the inside man that helped them gain access into the Impact Zone Exactly, which would address the earlier plot hole.

I'm in the mindset that Taz isn't all that bad as a member of Aces and Eights, I think it might be a step in the direction of finding out what this whole thing is all about while giving Aces and Eights a mouthpiece and TNA a chance to fill in the plot holes. Really I don't mind when there is plot holes in a story as sometimes it's hard to go in the direction you want while keeping everything wrapped up and crystal clear, it's when a promotion doesn't do anything to at least fill in the cracks that is the main problem with a lot of the story lines so I would welcome them using this as a way to do that.

As with almost anything TNA does, it was underwhelming and fell short of expectations. Yes, it was kind of a shock it was Taz, but when he grabbed the mic, it was obvious.
I was hoping that after the marriage was official, Bully Ray and Brooke would announce they have a present for Hogan, then reveal they are in A&8s, then the beatdown would occur.

"WE WANT SURPRISES BACK ON OUR WRESTLING PROGRAMS!" "THIS DECISION SUCKS!".... its' funny 'cause its' true No it isn't. In fact, it's a pretty dumb attempt at correlation. No one has ever said they want a surprise, come what may, and griped as a result. Something dumb is dumb even if it's unexpected. The two dumb generalizations aren't that related. If you were opening a gift, and inside was a pile of shit, that'd certainly be a surprise; but you'd also be justified, and accurate, in thinking it was a shitty surprise. That sorta lazy generalization and attempt at correlation doesn't "sticj it to the IWC", it just makes for a really weak argument.

I didn't read the entire thread, but I will say, it was a decent surprise, especially with him taking off the jacket and the immediate reaction of the people behind him. Taz may not be the best choice, but it was a well pulled off angle.

I'll say this for Taz as a member: I'd be interested if this meant that all along he's been stacking the roster with Gut Check winners who turn out to be Aces and Eights members.
Again, doesn't make for the best reveal, but that'd at least be a decent idea.

Taz may not be the best choice, but it was a well pulled off angle. I loved the reaction of the purple haired girl in the background. True, it was a shocked, but Devon's was great, especially how they worked everyone, and we see how well that's worked out. At least this hopefully gets Taz off commentary.

Again, doesn't make for the best reveal, but that'd at least be a decent idea. The real plot hole will be if Wes Brisco is a member. Why would Tazz vote no for someone who he is in cahoots with? Even if D'Lo ends up being a member too, and Tazz just said no to throw everyone off knowing D'Lo would vote yes, it's still a pretty big reach, IMO. If Tazz voted yes, Brother Love voted no, and then D'Lo sealed it with a yes, then it would have been more sensical. I think we are hopefully getting closer to a reveal that matters. I'm not sure what they are waiting for. Maybe it will still end up being Bully, and he is just marrying Brooke to stick it to Hulk, but at this point it may be too late to pull that trigger.

Yeah, their plot would have hinged on Prichard saying yes, and he's the one with reputation of being a hardass on Gutcheck.

I just really hope this keeps him off commentary and it doesnt lead to a full heel commentary Tazz which would make him even more unbearable.
I would have preferred much more for it to be one of the other two ECW guys, same shock reveal but its someone that can actually take a bump and wrestle a match.

This is the most underwhelming stable ever and I love it. Yeah. It's the suck version of early nWo. Like next week we find out the next member is Chris Harris, then Judy Bagwell, then a mop with Flair's picture on it, then a squirrel.

Tazz's "Is me or is it hot in here?" is now a classic heel turn line.

The only way this works with Taz as the manager is if he is ECW Taz character wise occasionally putting the tazmission on any wrestler they have a beef against and helping get A&8s wins by hurting their opponents

Here's my take on this.
Bully Ray and Taz are both sleepers for Aces and Eights. Bully's job was to seduce and manipulate Brooke Hogan into doing their business. Bully falls in love with Brooke despite his mission for A&8s. Fast foward to the wedding, Taz witnesses Bully forsake the gang for Hogan's daughter, hence the "Are you sure you really want to do this?"
I'd still rather it be Don West.

I'd still rather it be Don West. If Don West is revealed to be the leader of the Aces and Eights, I will buy every single TNA ppv for all of eternity.
