I didn't pay attention to the crowd tonight, but he was super over on Smackdown a few weeks ago. I like face Miz more than serious Miz. Did you say he was over on smackdown? You mean the taped show where WWE can add in their own soundbytes? The same show where you can hear the crowd go crazy for a face while not even moving in their seats? Damn... I'm impressed. Trent Baretta would get a John Cena like reaction on Smackdown if he was still in the company. I'm not talking about crowd noise. He'd just point to the crowd and they would go crazy. Granted I haven't seen the match since it aired, but I recall the crowd reacting to everything he did.

He's one of the most over faces in the company. He got one of the loudest reactions when for five seconds he looked like a bad ass beating Dolph Ziggler up in the corner. His character is awful and that was a terrible figure four attempt, but Miz should never be talked bad about when it comes to reactions or getting over. He is the man who somehow got Alex Riley to be the most over dude in the company during their feud. That worked wonders for Riley!

When it comes to Smackdown everyone knows to look at the crowd more than listen to them.

Miz is very over with the ladies, from my experience at Extreme Rules. Even though he was at the literal low of his modern career - jobbing to Santino in a pre-show - lots of women were buying/wearing his merch. Some girls just gravitate to the confident loudmouth types, I guess.

My wife loves Miz and she is barely a wrestling fan at all. Her 2 favorites were Miz and Batista..

I didn't pay attention to the crowd tonight, but he was super over on Smackdown a few weeks ago. I like face Miz more than serious Miz. I agree. As much as we hate the whole wisecracking jokester faces, for Miz it's an improvement. I remember how everyone used to laugh at the Miz and mock him for trying to be SRS. Whoever backstage thought Miz should be intense all the time when he initially made himself famous by acting like a goof, needs to be shot. It still does. The guy may be a jobber, but damn that man is still manages to be over with casuals and IWC alike. Now that Miz is a face, him and Riley need to be back together ASAP. Either segue into Riley's return and build him up as the man to dethrone Cesaro, or have Miz & Riley as another mashup tag team of frat bros feuding with Rhodes Scholars.

Kevin Nash was right, putting the belt on the Miz has made wrestling fake for even the backwoods folk. Not 1 good thing has happened in wrestling since Miz got the world title. The Miz is crap, has always been crap and nothing can save him, not even Y2J. The sooner the Miz leaves the better off we will be. The 7 year rule is in full effect. Fire the Miz and in 7 years, Miz didn't happen. There is a new Miz thread everyday talking about how his good guy gimmick ain't working. This is how bad wrestling is, we can't find anything better to talk about than some mid carder who's getting no crowd reaction. ...............................That was ur champ everyone! Take a long look, that did happen. Not some second rate Smackdown belt, the real deal.

Miz is your perfect midcard talent. NOT main event, and not worthy of a real push. Could he someday still breakthrough? Sure, but it's obvious they thought a rub from Ric Flair would do it, and I don't believe it did.
Del Rio's face turn works for me because he seems to be truly enjoying it. Miz is just kind of smiling and going after bad guys now...

Del Rio is a proper face turn His promos, move set, gear etc are all different as a face How do face and heel Miz differ? If he does have a 'proper face turn' there will be complaints that he's totally changed character unnaturally e.g Sheamus, John Morrison so really he'll get bitching either way. I like that he's still arrogant and smarmy. Not true Sheamus was great during his initial face turn when he feuded with Henry. He was a badass face that didn't take shit from anyone, in contrast to his cowardly heel self. Now he's turned into Cena Jr where he never takes anything seriously, is racist and has bad jokes

There is nothing more annoying to me in the WWE than the complete 180 wrestlers do when they change sides. Becoming a face/heel should not be considered baptism. Why should I cheer Miz? He's the exact same douchebag except now he has a show

At least it could be justified that he wasn't doing much before that, as opposed to the Truth face turn that took one of the best things WWE has done in ages and totally burned it to the ground.

He's the exact same douchebag except now he has a show He wasn't saying you should cheer Miz, he was saying that Mizs face turn is more organic than Del Rios, who just...decided to be a good guy for no reason whatsoever. Face turns should never work that way and really highlight how fake wrestling is.

Crowd or no crowd, he's awful at it.
Just forced and awkward. In my view, and for my personal entertainment, that's the view that matters. Orton gets huge pops too, and I can't sta.d hin either

Yet Del Rios face turn is only what? 2-3 weeks into effect and he already is doing insanely better and more over than the Miz. Could it be because his character seems worth cheering and supporting? He's not some frat boy douche who hasn't changed anything about him.
