“It can really confuse the issue,” he admitted. “Many times a Superstar will tell me what kind of music they like to listen to, but that has nothing to do with what would be a good theme for them. I sort of approach it like a movie. These themes are a soundtrack to the movie of this person. It really has to do with the story.” Can someone please tell this to Wade Barrett? The issue with that is in general Wade's been given crap re-edits of the same crap songs since he lost the Nexus - We Are One theme.

No Ass Man? Give me a break, that's Jim Johnson's greatest piece of work, whether he likes it or not. Surprised as well. It is actually pretty fascinating how much love seemed to go in that song. Three verses, versus the usual two tops, and all of the wordplay. "The best surprises always sneak up from behind!" And emotional lines that give us insight into Billy's life! "Buns of glory, buns of steel! Your eyes will give away the truth of how I feel! You're right behind me, I feel the heat! That's why the girls all walk behind me in the street, cause I'm an ass man!"

Maybe that explains why Maria's entrance video along with Val Venis's was uploaded to the WWE's youtube page

The Ultimate Warrior is my favorite from that list. Even though there was a lot of garbage in the hit piece of a DVD on him (though I still enjoyed it haha) I really do believe his entrance theme was a major part of why he was so successful.

I don't see Billy & Chuck's theme on that list.

Come on... Triple H even makes THIS list?
Jim Johnston has composed some great themes, but the fact that he doesn't recognize the genius of Kerwin White's theme or Ass Man makes this list worthless.

That's another Jimmy Hart written tune. So Johnston couldn't put it on a list of songs he's written.

The issue with that is in general Wade's been given crap re-edits of the same crap songs since he lost the Nexus - We Are One theme. To be fair, Wade Barrett hasn't really had much of a character since Nexus. I mean, sure he's got this "tough street fighter" thing going now but he's not really doing anything different than anything he's done before. But as for the quote, I can understand that. Jim Johnston must have a hellish job sometimes coming up with music that fits these people and I'm sure if they told him about their character more and didn't go "I want this!" it'd be better.

Given that in many ways, he's responsible for the first thing we associate with a talent, I'm amazed he isn't in the HOF yet based on his contributions over the last 25 years. It's not easy creating a piece of music that makes you instantaneously fill your mind with images of that person. That's an amazing ability.
