I'm not sure if Johnston was responsible for this particular theme, but if he was, then its omission is egregious: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyajybLikRQOne of the best examples I can think of of a theme that flat-out tells you everything about a character.

All of this is a great reminder that Jim Johnston needs to go into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Surprised as well. It is actually pretty fascinating how much love seemed to go in that song. Three verses, versus the usual two tops, and all of the wordplay. "The best surprises always sneak up from behind!" And emotional lines that give us insight into Billy's life! "Buns of glory, buns of steel! Your eyes will give away the truth of how I feel! You're right behind me, I feel the heat! That's why the girls all walk behind me in the street, cause I'm an ass man!" See, right there! The damn song even had a bridge. It's like his masterpiece, and unlike Taker's Big Evil theme, it didn't take a year to write it.

“It can really confuse the issue,” he admitted. “Many times a Superstar will tell me what kind of music they like to listen to, but that has nothing to do with what would be a good theme for them. I sort of approach it like a movie. These themes are a soundtrack to the movie of this person. It really has to do with the story.” Can someone please tell this to Wade Barrett? And THAT'S tha TRUTH! The song is cool but in no way fits him at all. I can see it from his point of view, you want to listen to a badass song you like when you walk down to the ring, it's more of a boxing or MMA eschetic though. On the Strikeforce card on Spike last week the first guy walked down to this wimpy Staind song and I immediately wanted to change the channel.

great list. People complaining about Demolition when people don't realize he had no hand in it. This list was stuff he worked on. Demolition wasn't his work. Just like Real American.

The first minute of that song reminds me of Sting's "Shape of my Heart" from the movie "The Professional" for some reason. He does deserve a HOF induction, but he'd have no theme to walk out to... And him ignoring Goldusts theme, if he wrote it, is sad. Great theme! Glad to see Hakushi's get some recognition after so many years, one of my all time favorites.

The piano theme he talked about for the undertaker was released a few months ago on Itunes. A stunningly beautiful piece.
I hope Serge does a list like this one day.

Given that in many ways, he's responsible for the first thing we associate with a talent, I'm amazed he isn't in the HOF yet based on his contributions over the last 25 years. It's not easy creating a piece of music that makes you instantaneously fill your mind with images of that person. That's an amazing ability. This is who Vince needs to add, not some "celeb" who showed up at a PPV a long time ago.

Is there anywhere besides iTunes I could find it? EDIT: Must have been more motivated this time round; I found it. Gorgeous.
