Did what 2 AA's couldn't do. Haha, seriously though, a Rock Bottom would have been fine there.

It made punk look terrible that's for sure.

I even understand the logic, that Punk was so in control that he was pretty much done when he got hit with that slam. It's just we're so trained to react to certain things and not to others, we get stuff like this.

Just bugs me for a 'storytelling' perspective in that Rock said it would be the Rock Bottom and had the great line about Punk knowing in that moment that it was over.
So instead it's the People's Elbow.

Just gonna put this out there, but back in the day, Rock used to finish most opponents off with the Elbow, and only used the Rock Bottom (or spine-buster) as a set-up move for it.
Just saying.

Punk trashed the people and said they didn't matter. Rock said they did matter and together they'd win the WWE Championship. Rock beat Punk with The People's Elbow, an elbow he's beaten others for in the past.
It makes perfect sense.

Rock was fighting for the people and him using that move at the end was a perfect ending to the match.

Yeah, I've never cared for the People's Elbow. I wish it was the set up move the same way the 5 knuckle shuffle is. It can be applied in the same way.

I don't dislike the Elbow, but I do dislike it as a finisher. It's whatever, but a big Rock Bottom straight to hell Kang! woulda been preferable.

It wasn't the people's elbow.....it was the corporate elbow, cause the only reason he came back was for the millions....and millions of dollars Vince is shoving in his wallet

That was the only problem I had with the match. Although honestly, Rock is so jacked these days that it at least looks more painful now.
