How amazing was he in that last segment and the stuff with Maddox/Shield? The genuine terror at being found out, the confidence he showed in the beginning with the earnest desire he seemed to have to be in the WWE, and his pleas of "Vince please leave the ring! VINCE PLEASE LEAVE THE RING" right before the F-5? He's amazing, and I really think he could be a great actor in TV and movies if he wanted to be.

Heyman is and will always be one of my favorite personalities in wrestling for how much he pours into segments. The man is truly something special.

I really dug the "Vince please leave the ring!" bit myself. It added to the segment, and it really showed the amount of danger Vince was in once Brock entered the ring, while selling Brock as the monster that he is. He's done it with Punk before by telling him to stop speaking whenever he thought Punk was going to say something he might regret.
Heyman needs to stay on-air, whether as a manager, commentator, or even an authority figure. He's awesome.

I don't know about TV and Movies necessarily, but with his flair for an over-the-top believable live performance, he could dominate Broadway and sweep the Tonys. The tension in during the backstage clip as Maddox (who was also stellar) was begging for his life, knowing he was about to get beat-up. Probably the most nervous I've ever felt for a fictional situation on a wrestling program. Genuinely unsettling.

If you are going to "quote for truth" - you should probably quote something

This, and the fact that he wasn't shouting it into the mic. It gave the impression he wasn't even thinking about broadcasting it to the audience -- he was just shouting so that Vince could hear, but the mic picked it up anyway. Little touches like that add a lot to the believability.

Heyman's defence was almost WORD FOR WORD Chael Sonnen's claim that he didn't go on radio and attack Lance Armstrong ("it was a guy with an Hispanic accent") when evidence proved otherwise. Glorious.

I was going to start the same thread.
He is outstanding. Everything about him oozes slime, his delivery his perfect, his mannerisms are perfect and his facial expressions are perfect. Honestly, Heyman could talk about car insurance premiums and I'd be interested.
I'd honestly put him tied with Austin as the BEST mic worker in wrestling of all time.

I've always found it incredible that a man who basically begun his career filming shows in his Moms basement is one of, if not the best talkers in wrestling.

He has a realistic way of putting people over. He's slimey but someone you can't help but listen to.

He's certainly got the voice to make yelling or talking loudly go over very well. Others (coughcoughVickiecoughcough) absolutely do not. But Heyman controls his voice really well. The screaming bit I enjoyed most was when Brock broke Shawn's arm, and he was on the aisle screaming "OH GOD YOU BROKE HIS ARM!!!" Anyone else - even someone like Jimmy Hart, who I could see doing that kind of reaction like Paul did - and that would've been annoying. But it worked and it wasn't overacting. Him begging Vince from afar to leave the ring was an excellent touch to that Brock/Vince moment, and made it much better. He was the only good thing about Rollerball. Fixed for accuracy, but even pre-fix you were still very much in the right.

Paul has been tremendous with Punk. It is great seeing him go into his Paul E. Dangerously mode (I do miss the cell phone and the Michael Keaton mullet, but technology and old age can be a beeyotch). Heyman, Cornette, and Heenan are the greatest managers in wrestling history. As far as I'm concerned, if you ain't Paul E, James E, or Bobby the Brain, you're fighting for second place.

As I've mentioned earlier in the thread about Vince's injury from the F5, what really makes Heyman's pleas for Vince to leave the ring something special is that Vince had just s*** canned Heyman. Paul E. should be rooting on Brock to kick Vince's ass, but is instead is worried for the guy's safety because Brock is that much of a monster! What I like about Heyman's pleas for Punk not to piss off McMahon is that it is based on Heyman's past run ins with Vince. Which is nice, I mean someone has to keep track of continuity here!
