The participants for the wwe Intercontinental Cup are shown in the poll and the winner faces wade for the ic title. I am pretty surprise to see big names like Dolph and Orton in this cup but I guess they are just here so they have something to do and I highly doubt they are going to win it. My guess is Kofi wins because he.. is kofi and mid card program are his thing.

Why is Cesaro in the tournament when he is US Champ?

Orton. Unless Darren Young is only there to be replaced by someone's surprising return, in which case whoever that turns out to be.

Why is Cesaro in the tournament when he is US Champ? Unify the titles and make a third World championship.

They need to pass off the title to someone who's been on a roster a while and desperately needs it. I feel like giving it to Cody or Kofi is a backslide for both of them.

kofi cause i don;t think it'll be orton and miz is busy with cesaro, and barrett's a heel.

Honestly, I'd have liked an underused guy like Alex Riley to be in it. Riley deserves a push. It'll probably be Kofi or Miz though. I'll go with Miz; he'll beat Cessaro in the final and Cessaro will cost him the match with Wade. Which I'll be fine with, would be a good way to continue their feud.

If we're going for a random unpushed guy, I'd much rather Justin Gabriel get a chance than Riley. As it is, it kinda has to default to Kofi as Barrett is a heel, and WWE rarely does Heel-vs-Heel

D-Young valiantly winning the tourny and turning face in the process only for a jealous Titus to turn on him would be cool. Of course, it would kill WWE's most entertaining tag team, but we know it will happen sooner than later.

I wish it could be Miz . Barrett vs. Miz will make the IC Title look important. I wish Miz wasn't feuding with Cesaro. I can buy Miz, Orton, and all these other uppercard guys going after the IC Title, but not the U.S. Title. The fact that Cesaro is even in the tournament shows that the U.S. Title is a lesser belt.

I'm all for Cesaro holding both. Wanna make them important, make it seem like an incredible feat to hold both titles at once. My biggest problem is there is no real way to distinguish the IC from the US because they refuse to treat one with more worth than the other.

My biggest problem is there is no real way to distinguish the IC from the US because they refuse to treat one with more worth than the other. To me IC Title > U.S. Title. Last year the IC Title was held and contested by former World Champions and is currently held by a guy who was the top heel in the company at one point. The U.S. Title was held by lower card wrestlers. With the end of the brand split and Zack Ryder's victory at TLC 2011, the U.S. Title was transitioned into the role of the new European/TV title. In fact, with Cesaro's current push, it feels more like he's outgrowing the belt than giving the belt any boost, and Miz feels like he's taking a bigger step down by going after it.

I can't watch the video. Apparently I'm not Intercontinental enough for WWE.

Bo Dallas and Wade Barrett begin feud.
WWE announces tourney for Wade's title which doesn't include the man he's currently feuding with.
Somewhere in between there, logic died. Again.

The IC Cup was first announced on last week's Main Event. Now why they had to air a commerical for it on Raw after the Barrett/Dallas angle had started, I have no idea.
