Wrestling is a bunch of dorks in their underwear. Fix'd You weren't around for the New Generation, when virtually everyone had some ridiculous and immediately-recognizable getup. If the Nexus were around in those days, their in-ring gear would've been bright yellow, covered in yellow-and-black tassels, and have little Ns printed all over it.

The bigger picture was Marty Jannetty?

I like that the Shield have a really distinctive look of their own. Nexus was a bunch of dorks in their underwear. It was so weird seeing the Nexus coming out from the crowd wearing their ring gear. Like no one notice a 230 pound man wearing trunks in the crowd. This makes me want to go to a wrestling show in wrestling attire, and see how many people I can convince that I'm doing a run in. Right before the main event, I'll just leave, and tell the people around me that I'm going to gorilla. I'll never come back.

The Shield is lacking a red-headed stepchild. The Nexus had Heath Slater in their midst. So they are better, I reckon.

Nexus had a much better theme.

You must've really hated the nWo in 1996, then. You know, gang attacks, not wrestling on TV, etc. It's what makes them stand out, instead of being just another slew of no-hoper imbeciles fed to WWE teacher's pets in meaningless 2 minute matches. The Shield's booking is classic old school heel build and has HHH's love of NWA written over all it. The Shield will get theirs at Elimination Chamber. And to be taken seriously against (hypothetically) Cena, Ryback & Sheamus, they have to look dominant and get away with murder. But once that chamber door shuts? It's like War Games, and eventually, odds will be even.
