Since, ya know, there is no more Destination X?
Does the X-Division Champion not get to cash in for a World title shot as promised last year now?

I don't think so, think they'll do a special Impact later on this year to replace the ppv.

Or they'll bring Destination X back to replace Genesis as the January PPV.

Or they'll give Rob Van Dam Option C to the delight of nobody in particular.

They should had called it Plan X. Plan X from the Impact Zone would be a wonderful first effort from TNA Films.

In all seriousness, I do think Option C will be honored on a summer Impact, but I wouldn't expect them to put anyone who isn't above the glass ceiling already in the match. Either RVD or Aries will likely get the title match, or they may have someone like York or Ion decide to keep the X title.

Aries' new gimmick should be that every few weeks or so he comes up with a new Plan that involves giving somebody in a very specific set of circumstances a title shot, which would always be him and then conveniently thrown away a year later. Like "This year at ___ whoever has the best online ranking at Uncharted 2 multiplayer will get a title shot! WHAT A COINCIDENCE, IT'S ME!"

Only if it has Roode suddenly mastering video games just to outdo Aries and steal his title shot.

There are plans for Abyss to use it when they give Crimson a run.

I think they should give Aries the X-Division Title and give Roode the TV title. You could do so much with this. Basically, Aries could hold it over Roode's head that he can cash in this title to become World Champion, and now Roode has to find a way to get the World Title before Aries.
Aries could also bring up that everytime the TV Champ wrestles in a singles match, he has to defend the title. There could be so much great TV done with the idea of these guys hunting for all the titles.

Aries dropped the X-Division title because they couldn't have one man as champion of two divisions, and yet RVD was in the "tournament" on Impact last week to determine the #1 contender to face Hardy for the World Title at Lockdown.
In other words, they said all that stuff to get the belt off Aries without having him job to Zema Ion. They probably would have kept the Destination X stipulation in tact had the PPV still existed, but I don't think they cared for it one way or the other.
