The Rock is in G.I Joe. Punk has a Cobra tattoo. The joke almost writes itself yet it hasn't happened.

And hell, the new G.I. Joe film is sponsoring Elimination Chamber, apparently.
(Plus, The Rock has G.I. Joe action figures made in his image. Cue someone making a CM Punk Cobra figure.)

Punk said something about how much the new GI Joe will suck not too long ago. I figure he won't be going down that road again since the movie is (I believe) the sponsor of EC. Now, incorporating the Cobra tattoo could be interesting, but I doubt it get's brought up.

I made reference to Punk's Cobra tattoo and G.I. Joe: Retaliation (in theaters March 29th!) in the thread titled "ONCE MEANS ONCE!".
Also, anyway we can incorporate Sgt. Slaughter into this feud?

Punk yelling "Cobra-la-la-la-la!" before he hits the elbow on Rock would have me buying everyone WWE PPV for the rest of the year.

I'm convinced Vince hates GI Joe.
It's why he fired Slaughter in the early 80's (he made the Hasbro deal outside of Vince & the WWF).
It's why they've NEVER made a GI Joe reference with anything Sarge related after he was rehired in 1990 (Mean Gene's "Real American hero" comment at WM20 was the 1st and so far only nod to it, and I'm sure that was ad-libbed)
Punk has never made mention of Joe on WWE TV; *maybe* he said something on WWE.com (regarding the tats) but I could be wrong, and if not it was probably very minor.
And unless they get an official endorsement from Paramount or Hasbro before WM29, I seriously doubt Rock's connection to the movie will be hyped or incorporated into any wrestling related story.

Though, that doesn't explain why the new film is apparently co-sponsoring Elimination Chamber.
