I'm sure a lot of you have heard that Undertaker is set to face CM Punk at this years WrestleMania but its not for certain as they are unsure if he will be healthy enough to perform. I'd like to hear others opinions on this but I think that if a guy can take an entire year off and still be doubtful to perform once then there is a serious problem and he should give it up now.

Punk's a good choice for this year. It'd be a safer, much more toned down match to work for Taker and it could still be a Mania-level performance too. On the other hand, IF the option is open to take this year off and come back for 30, THEN I'd say that's gotta be it.

I don't think health is an issue. I don't think he is any worse then he was last years wm. As for as I know, I didn't see anything that said he did hurt himself at WM. He was in good shape health wise year. Better then the year before I remember reports saying. Which is why he didn't stop last year at 20.

He seemed fine last year, so I'm going to wait until he actually fails to show up before I believe what the "report" says.

The Taker Trips Hell in a Cell match last year was stop and go. Taker can't go 100% in a match anymore. Honestly I want Taker to call it done at 20-0.

CM Punk vs Undertaker would be great. Undertaker likley doesn't have a smart phone.

I get that the reports aren't hard fact or anything but If it was true then I'd say its time to give it up.

Are there any recent pics of Taker? I'm curious how he looks now since he had the mohawk last year.

I would think he could work a brawl/street fight style match with Punk or Brock and avoid bumping on the shoulder or hip.

If he is in really bad shape, just let him take the year off and have him face Cena at WM 30.

Undertaker facing Punk feels so... underwhelming. After the epic four-year story line with HBK and Trips, him facing Punk just seems like a filler feud.

I was only interested in Punk/Taker if it was for the title. Punk going over Rock and then bragging about how he has literally beaten everyone and there aren't any challenges left, only for the lights to go out and Taker show up in the ring would have been amazing. The build to streak vs. longest title reign in years would have been great too.

Punk who has the most impressive title streak of the past 25 years (even if he no longer has the title) vs. Taker who has the most impressive winning streak in Wrestlemania history could make for a natural feud.
And Taker definitely seemed banged up last year, and they had everything very carefully planned out ahead of time. So I couldn't see him working with someone with a more "physical" or "reckless" in-ring style like Brock Lesnar or Ryback respectively.

I say retire, though if he's going to face anyone, have it be basically anybody besides Punk. Their matches together always, always suck.
Also, Punk would be about the single dumbest person possible outside of Triple H to end the streak. I'm one of those people who thinks the streak absolutely shouldn't end anyway, but Punk in particular just seems entirely wrong for it.

CM Punk said his last remaining bit of his childhood was destroyed when Undertaker sent him a text saying lol You don't need a smart phone to text. My grandfathers 10 year old nokia can text Punk who has the most impressive title streak of the past 25 years (even if he no longer has the title) vs. Taker who has the most impressive winning streak in Wrestlemania history could make for a natural feud. Seriously, for a setup, right off the top of my head I can see Punk doing his lack of respect stuff in the ring and end it with something like I held the title for 434 consecutive days and that is by far the most impressive streak in WWE History... *lights out - Gong.*
