9 times out of 10 when I make these threads, it's normally one of the first thing that pops into my head. This is no different.
Weather they inspired you, made you laugh, or just plain depressed you, quotes from famous writers/actors/television characters and so on, they can leave a big impact on you. They are the things that you remember for the rest of your life. I was wondering, what are some of your favorite quotes?
It can anybody that said them including yourself, it can be a serious quote, it can be a funny quote, do whatever you want. I want to know some of the sayings that you don't forgot when you first hear them.
I've got a serious quote and a funny quote:
Serious- "Tis better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all". There have been plenty of times where a girl just passed me by, and I've always wondered what could have been. And this quote reminds me that fear is normal, it's if you give it a shot that counts. Asking someone out that is.
Funny- "Amazing women are like rare pokemon: They are difficult to find, stand out from the rest, have exceptional qualities, and you need Master Balls to catch them."
What are some of your favorite quotes?

"Until you value yourself, you won't value your time. Until you value your time, you won't do anything with it."
- M. Scott Peck
That's probably my absolute favorite. It's just... everything about it is 100% true. It's one of the more powerful and thought provoking quotes I've ever read.

George Lucas: And again, it's like poetry, it's sort of, they rhyme. Every stanza kind of rhymes with the last one. Hopefully it'll work.

I prefer deep, philosophical quotes. C.S. Lewis and G.K. Chesterton are two of my favorites.
Two very through-provoking quotes:
"If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning." ― C. S. Lewis
"Reason is itself a matter of faith. It is an act of faith to assert that our thoughts have any relation to reality at all." ― G.K. Chesterton
A few quotes of wisdom:
"To avoid criticism do nothing, say nothing, be nothing." ― Elbert Hubbard
"There is a road from the eye to the heart that does not go through the intellect." ― G.K. Chesterton
"The object of opening the mind, as of opening the mouth, is to shut it again on something solid." ― G.K. Chesterton
"Do not be so open-minded that your brains fall out." ― G.K. Chesterton
