...Same As The Old Boss. Please continue the path towards WWE 2K14. Previous thread, and much rejoicing, and then unsuredness, can be found RIGHT HERE!Anyhow, I love being able to have a Sara Del Ray that can fight the guys now. So awesome!

This still perfectly rounds up the series so far, especially Christian's reaction. Again, let's hope that Take Two won't tolerate the same lazy shit that's been going on at THQ and Yukes before the sale.

If we're gonna be stuck with Yuke's we might as well hope that they at least fix what they do have and enhance what does work... And no more stuff like this...

I'm just going to say it, I'm damn happy they're keeping Yukes around for it. Do definitely need to refine how they handle some things, but I'm perfectly fine with the core game and I sure as hell don't want next year's to be stripped to the bone just in the name of doing something new. Plus, really, the SmackDown / SvR / WWE 1X series has been around most of my life and I don't want to see it go.

I'm glad that everyone get's to keep their wrestling game.
Meanwhile in 2006 I had to say goodbye to MY favorite wrestling game series for the sake of multiplatforming the Smackdown vs Raw series. But I'm not bitter. No.

They have(moves being interruptible, a comeback system, moves onto weapons, a bigger cell). They just haven't seemed to have implemented them correctly, besides the bigger cell and the weapon interaction at times, of course.

I bought WWE 13 in the UK, and cause they have to be annoying, I had to create a UK account in order to download stuff (but I can't buy any content cause I don't have a valid UK credit card, which sucks cause I want Cesaro!)
Anyway, I'm pissed that they still have the same server issues they have had for years. It's really quite disgraceful. Still, I just can't really get into this game. The story mode seems kinda fun, but I just haven't really played the game enough.

I couldn't be more bummed out that they're keeping Yukes around. The world needs new blood in wrestling games, and Yukes are just too insistent on continually adding more unrefined gimmicks to their games before cleaning up any old lingering problems.

Playing devil's advocate here, but I think the real problem was THQ. Yukes has shown in the past that they're capable of making amazing wrestling games, but they've also always had Ledesma and his band of idiots demanding all these stupid gimmick features and stressing the lack of importance to the meat-and-potatoes wrestling aspect of the games. When Yukes is allowed to focus strictly on the wrestling, you get something that plays like Day of Reckoning 2, which is the best wrestling engine I've ever played, hands-down. With 2K in charge, I'm hoping there's a higher demand for quality control, and that they insist Yukes focus on core gameplay first, and crappy gimmicks later.

I'm on the fence about possibly getting the same style game.
On one hand, it'd be cool to get a completely different style of wrestling game for the first time in years. However, what if it comes out and turns out to be complete dog-s***? I can get that people want a new system, but new doesn't always turn out to be an improvement.
On the other hand, I really like the engine we've got now, glitchiness aside. I really think that the features they've added, like Create an Arena (the 13 version, mind you), have been awesome - and if they can focus on ridding the games of the glitches and gameplay annoyances, we could have a great game on our hands, even if it is familiar.
But, like most things in life, only time will tell. I'm not going to jump to conclusions either way until we have at least some news on the specifics. We're way too early in the process to be demonizing 2K for this move.

Hopefully 2K can bring the best of both worlds
I didn't really want a step back on CAW match types etc, but the games are always so buggy it would be wrong to leave it as it is

Yeah, it'd be awful to see a step backward in terms of CAWs, so hopefully, Take 2 gets how important they are to the game's longevity for some people, and will work to make them better (importing logos a la NCAA Teambuilder, hint hint.) But the only way to do that is to let them know.

However, what if it comes out and turns out to be complete dog-s***? What if we're missing out on the best wrestling game of all time? You never know but you don't get anywhere staying safe. It's sad that innovation and evolution passed wrestling games by because everyone's too scared to take a risk.

All I need is better "landing on weapon" physics. Had it pretty well perfect, and then for some reason WWE 13 is the worst in that regard.

Like I said at the end of the last thread, I'd much rather take the potential for greatness over guaranteed mediocrity. Cut the cord. The create stuff can be rebuilt to be better also. It's not like Yukes is the only developer with a user share service. It's not a unique feature at all. Side note: Do the games actually sell that well? It doesn't seem like they do.

Why did they get rid of the different animations of falling off of a ladder, such as getting crotched on the ropes, hitting the ropes neck-first, etc.? For that matter, why can't I drag a guy to the ropes and set him up on the top, then bounce him up and down anymore?

I just want a feature like EA's GameFace. CAWs would be SO much easier to make with that.
