So if this crap movie is going to be made, and Viacom would allow this. I am expecting, Last Airbender 2 to be greenlit.

Sucks for hardcore TMNT fans, but Bay makes money for investors.
For some reason people love his movies...or at least don't hate them enough to NOT watch them.

Isn't Bay only producing it? Yeah, but he's got a ton of say. Besides, the director is the guy who directed Wrath of the Titans and a handful of other dreadfully bad movies. Things just look awful for the Turtles. Honestly, I have no idea why Viacom/Nickelodeon is letting this happen. Their new cartoon on Nick is immensely popular, and the kids who are fans of that show are going to want to see something close to that version of TMNT in live-action. Putting out a shitty Ninja Turtles movie when you could just capitalize on the popularity of the CGI show is mind-boggling.

Revenge of the Fallen is the only offensively bad movie of the lot, imo.

I'd also argue that the TMNT property is more popular than Transformers, and much more socially relevant at the time of the movie's production. If they pull a Transformers with this movie, they may not be as lucky as they were with those films.

Yeah, maybe they'll only make half a billion dollars instead of a billion dollars.

As a guy who grew up watching the Turtles, was pretty much obsessed with the franchise as a kid, and still counts the original Turtles movie among his favorites, I can't even find the words to describe how I feel about this. Thankfully, I have someone who can get my point across for me, and has a bit of a grudge against Micheal Bay.
Warning: A Lot of language

Yeah, maybe they'll only make half a billion dollars instead of a billion dollars. They won't make good money off of a shitty TMNT film. Mark my words. The fanbase spans four generations, and no matter what their preferred version of the Turtles is, none of them feature the Turtles as aliens. All I know is, I don't want to see the Turtles not look and act like the Turtles. I don't want to see them as anything other than mutated Earth turtles. I don't want them to act like black stereotypes ala those twins in the shitfest that was Transformers 2. I don't want the title characters to take a backseat to the human actors. I don't want any military characters being shoved into the plot at all. I don't care if the movie is more similar to the '87 cartoon or the current one, but it needs to be a faithful adaptation of some popular version of the franchise if not a combination. I don't want to see something carry the Turtles name with no respect for the franchise. If I wanted that, I'd watch The Next Mutation on Netflix.

Especially the second one, all summer that it came out, my friends and relatives were all saying "you should go see it, it's one of the best movies of the year". I just don't get it...

I seem to recall a lot of people expressing similar sentiments before each Transformers film. In fact... Yup. Very similar. And yet... we all know how THAT turned out, don't we?

I hope the season after this movie hits theatres there's a TMNT episode in which a human catches the Turtles in action and asks "Are you aliens?" to which one of them replies "No! We're Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!"

I'm sure he keeps casting Megan Fox due to her acting abilities and suitability for the roles.

But... no one likes Megan Fox, and plastic surgery/bad makeup has kind of destroyer her.

Shia LeBoeuf WILL be in this movie one way or another. Even if it's just providing a voice. Trust me, he'll be in it.
