Arakune wins. Next: Round 1Stage: Zepp Match 14I-No (Guilty Gear) She is a servant of That Man. Very little is known about her; in fact, her profile in Guilty Gear XX consists entirely of "UNKNOWN!!" repeated several times over. Information given thus far is also somewhat unclear as to the nature and origin of her hat, which resembles a witch's hat and seems to be animate. She also seems to derive pleasure from tormenting other characters, especially Dizzy. Vs. Taokaka (BlazBlue) A resident of the Kaka Village and member of the Kaka Tribe, Taokaka is a catgirl, wearing a large coat that obscures her face, only exposing red eyes and a row of sharp teeth; whether or not this is her true face is still a mystery. She wants to get back the sky above her village, which was sealed off. She was sent by the Kaka Elder to retrieve the bounty on Ragna's head, becoming a vigilante in the process. Despite this resolve, she is considerably food-obsessed and forgetful, often falling asleep on a whim, becoming hungry moments after a meal, or forgetting details moments after hearing them because. She is good friends with Litchi, affectionately referring to her as "Boobie Lady". First to 5 votes wins.

I'm gonna go with Taokaka.
On a related note, how is BlazBlue as a game? I know a couple of my friends have mentioned playing it, but as someone who plays fighting games semi-exclusively (tried both Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy; didn't really care for either), would this interest me?

I-No or Taokaka? Difficult choice.
I'll go with I-No but both are fairly unique.
----------------
^Blazblue is a good fighting game, I imagine it's similar to Guilty Gear but I never played any of those. I have the first Blazblue it's certainly fun and is a lot better than many fighting games out there.

Taokaka. Yes she's a catgirl, but she's a unique catgirl.
As for BlazBlue, great series of games. And one of the few fighting game series to actually remotely try with their story mode. It's story modes are multi-branching where the path to each game's true ending even requires you losing some matches. And the gameplay is fast and fun.
Really you could've justified nominating almost the entire roster in the series for this tournament because they are nearly all unique characters.

Dammit, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE ME CHOOSE?! (in fact, i'm pretty sure both were nominated by me) I'll go with I-No even though it's too late. She just an all-around awesome character. IBlazblue is a good fighting game, I imagine it's similar to Guilty Gear but I never played any of those. I have the first Blazblue it's certainly fun and is a lot better than many fighting games out there. It is indeed very similar to Guilty Gear as it was made by the same company (you'll notice some resemblences even in the character design and gimmicks) but it has a very different style and atmosphere. I really like it for their very unique characters and it's a fun, fast-paced game. The only downside IMO is that some characters are too complicated to really master, as their unique styles are not always very intuitive (fortunately, you can associate some moves to shortcuts). Some training is definitely required.

Taokaka wins. Next: Round 1Stage: Lei Wulong's stage Match 15Gourmand (Power Stone) Gourmand is head chef on the luxurious airship Royal Heaven, which cruises around the world. Secretly, he is a ravenous chef who will do anything to get his hands on rare delicacies. One day, he learns about the existence of a mysterious flying castle. "Does it have new ingredients no one has seen before?" Conveniently, a huge dark shadow falls across his airship, making it tremble. Gourmand jumps ship with his kitchen knife and frying pan in hopes of finding new food to tickle his fancy. "This is my lucky chance!" Vs. Gon (Tekken) Gon (ゴン) is a licensed guest character appearing only in Tekken 3. He is unlockable by defeating him in the Tekken Ball mode or by achieving a high score in Survival mode and inputting the name "GON". He is one of the two special hidden playable characters, along with Doctor Boskonovitch. His appearance seems purely ornamental, considering no motive is given for him participating in the third King of Iron Fist Tournament. Gon's ending is the only ending in Tekken 3 that goes in a continuous loop, and must be manually interrupted by pressing the Start buttion. Gon's alternate costume for this game shows him with a turtle shell and blue gloves (The turtle shell being a reference to the time when Gon decided to wear a turtle shell that he found). His mother was also a turtle. Gon is the only character in Tekken 3 who is barely affected by True Ogre's fire blast. It only does 1 damage point to Gon. First to 4 votes wins.

Gourmand does seem more unique, but I enjoyed playing with Gon in the game so I'll go with him.
