I'm not sure how they'd be able to swing that. It's tough to conceal a characters identity when we can actually see him. yeah they pretty much HAD TO do it like they did. no way could they conceal his identity when we all know what Barristan looks like. Yeah, that, but I meant moreso showing off his fighting ability with a walking stick. But I'm guessing the actor was not hired for his stage fighting ability.

Great episode. I loved how they've already established tension in camp Lannister. It's nice having read book 3 before this season started.

I enjoyed the episode, just disappointing to see no Arya I was a little confused, especially since the episode was named after something in her plotline.

Yeah exactly, I kept on waiting for a scene or appearance by her because of that. I can't wait for when Targaryen invades. I haven't read any books in years, but I really want to start reading again starting with ASOIAF just to see what it is like when she eventually goes to war with fully grown dragons...I can only imagine for now. I loved seeing the giant

Everything after the dragons appear is a red herring, I hope you like boring bureaucracy, cause that's what you're getting. Also diarrhea, Daenarys gets diarrhea.
Seriously, book 4 and 5 need some heavy rewrites in the eastern plotline area.

Well towards the beginning of Book 3 Missendei says it to Dany and she knows what it means, so I imagine it was meant as a link to that. I wasn't expecting Arya to be in this one though that was only cos I noticed Maisie Williams' name wasn't in the credits at the beginning. Ditto with Isaac Hempstead-Wright showing Bran wouldn't be in it. Speaking of, love how they've updated Winterfell in the opening to be burning.

Apparently it was felt that Arya's stuff would get lost in this episode, so they moved her stuff to Episode 2.

Seriously, book 4 and 5 need some heavy rewrites in the eastern plotline area. that's the joke they should've called the 4th book "new people nobody cares about doing s*** that doesn't matter in Dorne- oh and we'll through in some Arya and Kingslayer bits so you don't go setting me on fire". People who dont like book 4 just have no patience. Everything is good characterisation and good development. The more Cersei the better. It's just slower than book 3, but it's still all good. Dany's story is rubbish cos Dany is rubbish. Arya is the same. Dullards and Mary Sues.

Also, let's keep this handy spoiler button handy, something big might get revealed soon on accident.

Dullards and Mary Sues. don't get me wrong, I actually really do like Feast for Crows. but the book is really made by the Jamie chapters, the Asha Greyjoy chapters and the Arya chapters (I really like her, but hey diff'rent strokes). the Dorne subplot is a lot of BS to put up with for {Spoiler} a plot twist that ends up being completely meaningless by the end of the next book. . if it gets cut down big time I'm not shedding any tears.

Too many indulgent chapters where not a lot really happens with characters we are introduced to. I don't care to read a book that's fourth in the series of long books and expects me to read chapters about characters I have little interest in.

For me, Book 4 was a nice change and highlighted characters I did care about getting development they hadnt had up to then, even if some of the story lines were red herrings
