Was I the only one last night who found the Del Rio and Coulter/Jack Swagger segment with the Miz cringeworthy and just flat out boring? This may seem like an unpopular opinion.

The problem with the majority of the segment is that Zeb largely owned Del Rio argument wise. This angle shows the uncomfortable nature of the Del Rio babyface act. The entire time I kept thinking to myself "Alberto is an elite, privileged guy. He has mentioned in the past that WWE begged him to come to America via a visa, and has also dissed illegal Mexicans." Del Rio's act doesn't quite work in this context, since he himself isn't an illegal immigrant and likely agrees with most of what Zeb is saying!

Y'know, I think Zeb should do the majority of the talking. I cringe every time Swagger repeatedly shouts "We the People", to be honest.

I think Zeb perform really well but I thought Del Rio did not come out looking to good from this segment. Plus the crowd was not to hot for this segment.

I like the storyline - but I think at this point they are too busy trying to make controversial statements to make the news. So, everyone else in the storyline is stuck standing around as scenery.

I think it shows a lot of the audience was uncomfortable with the angle. Zeb was great as always, and I actually did buy Del Rio in the role. that said I'm not sure it's good that I enjoyed seeing Swagger basically squash Miz.

All it did was make me more firm in these opinions:
Jack Swagger should never speak. Dutch needs to be on every show until the end of time. This ADR face run is one of the strangest things I've seen in WWE.

I liked that Swagger got a bit of heat when he finally got the mic. This mouthpiece thing is really working for him. Overall, I thought the segment dragged a bit. I also agree with those who say ADR looks a bit foolish next to Zeb. I say that as a fan of everyone who was in that ring.

I liked it when Zeb was speaking. He's awesome. Alberto stunk it up though with his lame counter arguments and his "I hate bullies!" line.

I didn't like it either, I have no reason to cheer or boo any of the people that spoke last night and have no investment in the storyline or WM match.
On the plus side Zeb speaks well (and has amazing facial hair) even if I don't care about what he's saying, The Miz stayed quiet, Alberto was marginally better than JR's "love it or leave it" style of debate and Ricardo is still likeable.
It's a shame as Del Rio's face turn was going well, this angle just highlights the flaws in his character and mic work.

Jack Swagger should never speak. This. When he can't even say three words without coming across as either mentally retarded or constipated (I'm not sure which yet), they should just make him a silent killer.

Yeah Swagger is better off in a "Lesnar"-role. He really really sucks on the mic.

Yeah Swagger is better off in a "Lesnar"-role. He really really sucks on the mic. He's fine really. He's just not convincing in this serious heel role. I think, on this show, they were more concerned with making waves than selling a match people actually want to see. And, honestly, with segments that are so narrow like that, I think WWE woefully forgets that a good portion of their audience aren't American and don't care about what's being argued. This feud needs to go back to basics and I figure it will at some point.

I'm quite surprised with the reaction really. While I agree not a lot happened and the segment wasn't particuarly exciting I thought Del Rio came off very well.
And whilst Zeb and Swag's youtube videos have almost had them turn face with their reasoning I honestly thought Zeb was just flat out ranting last night. And Del Rio's arguement made him look like he didn't have a leg to stand on.
I think the problem is also that it feels as if Del Rio is feuding with Zeb when he should be feuding with Swagger. Swagger feels like a side kick.

On both sides, I was hoping for something a bit meatier. For all the charisma and charm on display, the two arguments put forth seemed design to give the feud just enough to go on, and leaves me anxious that this is the extent of what we'll be hearing over the next 6 weeks.
On the flipside, they've also got a stack of time to work with. So, hey, could be the toe in the shallow-end before the big dive.

Best moment of the night, Zeb's argument started out seeming semi-okay, but then descends into hating a percentage of the World's populace, in which Del Rio gets angry and Zeb stops.
Glorious, the heel and face sides are so well defined and so well spoken (on both sides. Yes, I rate Del Rio on the mic) that this is the only match I'm really looking forward to at 'Mania that's been announced so far.
Stellar work by all four feuding guys in the ring, Miz wasn't too bad either.

I hate politics mixing with my wrestling, so, this whole angle is DOA for me.

I love Face Del Rio but I feel as if his mic skills have gone to shit..
I think the IWC was expecting way more out of this because of Swaggers arrest and Glenn Beck, and was ultimately let down. I know I was. I had talked the Swagger angle up to my wife all week. She watched it and said "This is stupid".
