Taking advantage of some Black Friday sales and I picked up my first two CZW DVDs in a few years, 'Sacrifices' and 'Once in a Life Time' because I thought the cards looked compelling, and I'm very curious about Sami's booking. Other than those two, what would you say has been the best single CZW show this year? This year's best of the best was really good. Matt Tremont vs Pentagon was amazing

Blackwater and Dan Barry were added to the scramble.
Also per a video posted on youtube Deej has a surpise for Tim Donst (they did an angle where Donst flipped out after losing to Starr and he is pissed he hasnt been doing anything of note)

Sounds like a pretty good show tonight.
Results:
1. Dan O'Hare won the Ultimate Oppurtunity Coin Challenge 2. Matt Tremont def Jimmy Lloyd 3. Mr. Claxton def Alex Colon (Danny Havoc interference after match on Mr. Claxton) 4. CZW Tag championship: The Rep def Xavier/Wentz, OVE, Reynolds and Palmer 5. David Starr def Ethan Page 6. NWA Title: Nick Aldis def Tim Storm 7. Jimmy Jacobs def Jimmy Havoc 8. Greg Excellent def Ace Romero 9. CZW wired title: MJF def Joey Janella 10: CZW Title: RSP wins Cage of Death
Really glad that RSP won the title, have always liked his work.
Nick Gage came in the ring after the main event and did a "shoot".

according to PWInsider the Gage thing was a legit shoot and CZW is pissed, Naturally I don't believe it especially since Game Changer and CZW twitters have been taking shots at each other/
Also Will Ospreay will be at the Mania Weekend Show

Just got back from the show live, it was actually really great with a few meh moments
Ultimate Opportunity coin challenge was actually won by Storm of Entrails, it was okay for an opener.
Tremont vs Lloyd was a very good but basic death match. Tremont won with a Death Valley Driver onto a chair, which was on top of a bed of nails.
After which Tremont calls out Tim Storm and Storm comes out with the title. Storm basically accepts Tremont's challenge for a later date but then Ethan Page comes out. Page cuts a promo and Storm accepts his challenge for a later date. MJF does the exact same thing but then...things got weird. Out comes Austin Idol of all people to Christmas music who then cuts a promo on Storm and brings out Aldis. At no point during this promo did this seem to be leading up to an actual match at Cage of Death, which is important for later
Mr. Claxton vs Alex Colon continued the “Claxton now hates death match wrestling” story, fine bit of wrestling with a brilliant finish of Colon pulling out the barbed wire board and Claxton winning via roll up grabbing the tights which got all the heat in the world. Danny Havoc ran out, threw him back into the ring and Colon put him though the board. Which kinda soured me on the finish but it was fine.
Starr and Ethan Page had a great little match where both showed a lot of fire. Starr won and cut basically the same promo he did last month, saying that his goal was to win BOTB.
CZW tag championship match was a great little clusterF, The Rep won with their double team move and I'm really happy for them. They're homegrown talents that actually show a lot of promise.
And then...the NWA Title match out of nowhere. Storm's music hits and everyone is deeply confused he comes out in his ring gear and then comes out Austin Idol with Aldis. Idol replaces the ref with his own and the match starts. I can say this completely honestly, this is the worst match I've ever seen live. Aldis basically hit him with a few body slams, gets the worst neck crank as a rest hold I've ever seen, Storm gets one punch in and then Aldis hits what looked to be a slightly modified Samoan drop for the win. The crowd was rightfully shitting on the match the entire time. Aldis cuts a promo about how everyone in CZW is awful and the fans only like them because they look like them, promo lasted about 5 minutes then he left. Felt like if the NWA title even had a shot at being a thing again, I saw it die in that ring
Thankfully Havoc vs Jacobs followed that up and they had one of the best matches of the night. Jacobs had a crazy entrance that involved a bunch of zombies coming out and Jacobs coming out all dolled up like hes going to the prom. Was a fantastic brawl and Jacobs picked up the win
Greg Excellent and his female manager vs Ace Romero was okay in spots but the female manager being in the match was an awful idea brought up all of those ugly “violence against women spots” ECW had so often. Excellent won, which was super weird given the entire program over the past few months was that Romero was the big new thing and Excellent was bitter about it.
MJF vs Joey Janella, was a match that for the first 75% of it felt like it really could have been a match for the NWA world heavyweight championship. An old school brawl that went into the crowd and was super intense. But then Janella...well he had to be himself and took a package piledriver off the apron onto some chairs on the floor. But that's not all, they also went up to the balcony and brawled up there until they both fell into a table like a floor down. The finish was MJF rolling up Janella after Janella accidentally hit Penelope. The match was good but Janella really needs to stop with the crazy spots. I know its what hes know for but every single match hes in has a spot where my thought is “that was really dumb”.
And then the main event Cage of Death. RSP vs Gacy vs Strictland. The second you saw the set up completed you knew how utterly insane it was going to be. This is the sort of thing where if you don't like death matches, you're just going to really hate it and say its killing the business, etc. But if you do like death matches this is a great example of it. Strictland especially was impressive in the crazy bumps he took and his creativity with light tubes. Finish of the match was a poison rana from RSP to Strictland onto a pane of glass, followed by a Choke breaker for the win. I loved the hell out of this match and the crowd was going nuts. Moment was kinda ruined by Nick Gage coming out and “shooting” on everyone by throwing GCW stuff at Strictland. Even if it was a work, it was terrible to ruin RSP's moment. All in all the show was a ton of fun but good god that NWA title match was awful.

Thanks for the recap. Really looking forward to watching this. Really happy for RSP. Judging from every recap I've read it sound like Cage of Death was awesome.
NWA match sounds like a cluster, I'm just wondering if this was a one time thing or if they plan on building an angle out of it. Definitely a weird booking.

A couple other notes.
1.Brandon Kirk is the first entry to BOTB
2.ANthong Gangone debuted by taking out Joe Gacy.
3. No January show, but CZW will not be returning to Rastelli's. Sounds like they may be returning to Philly

A little more on the end: - Not a work, 100% shoot. - A now former member of the booking staff came to DJ and crew with the idea which they discussed but ultimately turned down. He was fired after the show from CZW and probably all their affiliated promotions. - The whole thing is supposed to be edited off all future releases. CZW has pulled several videos of it from YouTube claiming copyright infringement. - CZW did call the police and filed a report. - Because of that they had to stay later than they were supposed to which cost them more money and got them in trouble with building management who had to delay stuff the next day so they could clean everything up.

GCW just had CZW take down the amazing Tremont vs Onita video package for using GCW footage without their consent. And I'm gonna ask Nick what the heck happened Saturday

From what i understand that producer was the one who told them to come out and the producer might Giancarlo Dittamo (he made the awesome vignettes that CZW has had for a while)

So essentially both sides are children but GCW are the child that strops in the middle of the supermarket when they don’t get their own way.
*sigh*
