It's been a while since I've made one of these (well, a couple of months anyway)... it's almost old school in itself.
Yep, it's Monday night, and that means it's RAW night. Tonight, we're live from Buffalo, and WWE is taking a detour down memory lane on the Road To WrestleMania with the return of Old School RAW. Expect all your usual old favourites to appear, and if you're lucky, maybe a couple of current guys too.
Last week, John Cena finally cemented his title shot against WWE Champion The Rock with victory over CM Punk in what many have called one of Monday night's greatest ever bouts. With The People's Champion scheduled to appear tonight, and with WrestleMania looming large, will champion and challenger have words for the other? And speaking of CM Punk, how will the self-proclaimed God bounce back from coming so close, yet so far away from a chance at regaining the WWE Championship?
The game has been reset. Triple H made his first appearance on RAW in over 6 months last week, preventing hated rival Brock Lesnar from destroying Mr. McMahon again, and in the process, beating the former UFC Champion bruised and bloody. It's obvious that there is unfinished business between these two, and Triple H will likely address that business when he appears on RAW tonight.
Jack Swagger may be getting the World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania against Alberto Del Rio, but it's his ally Zeb Colter that is making all the waves with his controversial statements about the direction of the United States. Will the "Real Americans" continue their outspoken diatribes and winning streak? And will Del Rio continue his own momentum?
Good thing The Shield are wearing those vests, because they are quickly becoming targets of some of the heaviest hitters in WWE today. From Sheamus, to Randy Orton, to even Big Show... and there is still Ryback waiting in the wings for revenge too. How will the triumverate of justice react to arguably their least successful week so far?
Midcard champs... United States Champion Antonio Cesaro seems to be done with The Miz after besting him in a 2/3 Falls Match, so he's looking for a challenger to fight. Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett seems to be having trouble with Sheamus as well, but The Celtic Warrior seems more intent on mocking his budding film career than winning the IC belt. Maybe someone else steps up?
Tag champs... Things have gone downhill for Kane and Daniel Bryan since the Royal Rumble, as singles aspirations have put their alliance on the rocks once more. Are Team Hell No's days at the peak of the tag division numbered?
For the preview paragraph about the Divas Championship scene, please download the official FAN Forum app from iTunes and Google Play today... WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE DON'T HAVE ONE?
All that, and Mark Henry does what he does, TONIGHT on Old School RAW!
