I was crushed the second i found out about this. One of my all time favourites in the Undertaker, and Paul Bearer was part of that in a big way for me as a kid. Such a shame.
Rest In Peace.

I'd like a graphic of Paul Bearer on the screen and The Undertaker just comes out and does his pose where he "gains power from the urn". That would be simple, powerful and Taker wouldn't have to break character. I think it's pretty goddamn sad that Vince is so hellbent on Taker remaining kayfabe that he isn't even allowed to be a human during a time when absolutely no one would question it. Kayfabe is dead, Vince. You killed it. So what are you trying to prove? You sure it's Vince that's hellbent? Pretty sure 'Taker is pretty protective of the gimmick also... That said, RIP to one of the greatest managers in all of Pro Wrestling & a great person from all accounts.

I was under the impression that it's Taker's desire to eternally appear in kayfabe on WWE TV. ESPECIALLY when it comes to deaths -- he just doesn't appear at all because it'd be decidedly morbid. Also, I'm pretty certain a current user here on the boards has a VERY unkayfabe of the Undertaker as Dirty Harry, which craps all over everything we're saying here.

Pringle managing Champion Barry Horowitz is somehow a truly sweet and nostalgic image, and I'm glad it's in the WWE's video.

...but my god, does Hornswoggle's faux-hawk make him look even more punchable than usual. Really?? It's never a good look, but I'm always slightly relieved to see him just looking like a normal young dude.

The only "live" tributes we've seen are WWE Tweets and comments from other folks. But Taker never does that stuff anyway, so Monday will be his first chance.... Has Cornette said anything? I've been watching a ton of videos of he and Percy on Youtube (I don't think I've ever seen Cornette get along with anyone else better than this) and I've read that the 2 were very close...

Not that I'm aware of. But Jim's wife Stacey said this on Twitter a few days ago: "Stacey Cornette @staceycornette Words can not express how deeply saddened I am right now to lose such a good friend. We love you Percy, go be with your angel Diana."

If anyone's in the Los Angeles area, Championship Wrestling from Hollywood is on at 1am on KDOC, and it contains Percy's last televised appearance, taped about a month ago. I'm sure there will be some tribute as well, since he was such a huge part of the show. It should also be on their website by next week.

That was a great, heartfelt, obviously painful and personal tribute from Dave Marquez to open Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. It was really hard watching the Shaun Ricker match and seeing Percy, knowing that he is now dead.
Electric Mayhem, if you're at the MArch 17th taping, could you let us know what the reaction is and the tributes they have?

The video tribute should play on Raw. I agree that they could simply have Undertaker do his pose while a graphic of Paul Bearer is on the Titan Tron. I think Kane should also give some kind of nod to Bearer. Since Kane doesn't have a signature pose that's perfect for paying tribute, it's not quite as predictable. He and D-Bry wear arm bands to show respect to Paul. Either that or a small Brothers of Destruction reunion where Taker kneels to the urn, and Kane does his arm raise.

I tried to think of something to say here. I really did. But It would be repeating everything you guys already did so eloquently. So instead I was inspired to make something after seeing someone's attempt at the same. Feel free to use at your leisure.

I could see Taker doing something quiet and in kayfabe like when Sgt. Slaughter saluted the empty corner after The Grand Wizard died.

One of my first memories of him was back i n the day during the Taker/Hogan match at Survivor Series and he chokes Hulk as he's down and turns to the camera and says Rest in Peace Hulk Hogan and then laughs. It always made me laugh.
RIP
