I too was hoping Bearer would return at Mania to accompany Undertaker down the aisle one last time ( I think this is his last WM btw). It would've been a fitting end for both their careers. Hopefully WWE and/or Undertaker will do something as a tribute to him at Mania. Maybe him carrying an urn or something.

Am shocked to hear about this. I've talked with Percy several times over the years and he was always friendly and gracious to me. He also had a wicked sense of humor. RIP Percy you will be missed.

s*** this sucks. didn't he have gastric bypass? wouldn't be suprised if this has to do with that. that stuff seems to do more harm than good a few years ago, yeah. but if it were to have any side effects, they would've shown themselves then.

Woah, that is a huge shocker. Paul Bearer always seemed to have a great attitude from listening to his interviews, and he always said that as long as there is a Kane and an Undertaker, there will always be a Paul Bearer. And I guess that's what I always felt.

His run in 1997 was amazing. He was the most hated person on TV for a while. You just wanted to see Taker destroy him.
Rest in peace Paul Bearer.

He was the only wrestler I had my picture take with at Axxess in Atlanta.

He always frightened me when I was a kid, which made him effective. Definitely added alot to the charactwr of The Undertaker.
To one of the best managers WWE has ever seen, Rest in Peace.

My jaw dropped when I saw this headline on the main page. Such horrible news, and so unexpected. My thoughts are with his family, and I hope he's resting in peace.

R.I.P., sir.
Too bad we won't see him for any more Undertaker or Kane appearances.

Taker's gonna have to do a sort of tribute to him on Raw.

Oh my God. This is just awful. Bearer's whole feud with the Undertaker is one my first wrestling memories. He made me hate him so much as a little mark. I'm so sad to hear this. This is the last thing I wanted to hear today. He's also one of the nicest people you'd ever meet personally. This video has some of my favorite memories of him. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wow74E5A7RoR.I.P. Paul Bearer. You will be missed.

As soon as I saw the title I literally said, "No..." to myself. So tragic, he was one of the most important managers of WWE history. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

Aw man that sucks, like many others have said he really added to Taker's character and I was devastated when he turned on him and aligned with Mankind. His role as Kane's evil father was so great, I remember marking out like crazy whenever Taker would beat his ass. RIP Paul Bearer

He was such an integral part of my wrestling fandom. I read this thread when it was first posted and I can't seem to convey my thoughts into words. I'm that affected by this. Thanks for everything, rest peacefully.
