But I'm not buying those; so instead I'll mention I'm slowly but surely fillin in the gaps in my collection of PAD 12 year Hulk run. Now something like 20 issues away

I'm not buying those either so I'll probably just look through old Captain Marvel trades and see which ones I'd like to pick up.

I'm kinda going through a dry spell right now. I trade-wait on everything, and next to nothing I'm currently reading has a trade coming out until May.

Truth be told, I don't even buy recent comics aside from Udon's Street Fighter series. I only go for older stories from the two main companies and have no real interest in independent work unless it's something that I can honestly get interested in.

From the other thread: Don't let continuity make you it's bitch. I'll be continuities bitch any day. No continuity, no point Agreed. What's the point if continuity is ignored? Why invest time and interest in a story if a year or even a month down the line, they toss half of it out because it doesn't fit the new, cool idea they have?

I used to really care about cotinuity, but as my reading has dwindled a bit; it doesn't matter to me that much anymore, so long as there are a) good stories being told and b) characters are consistent to what their core charaterization is.
Any more, all I really care bout is "my continuity". Stories I like are "canon" and count. Those I don't, I just ignore

I picked up today Age of Ultron Book 1 Young Avengers 2 Ultimate X Men 21 The Ultimates 22 Out of them I loved the Ultimates, the fact they made Tony's tumor a character is just beyond warped

Actually in the process of giving away large amounts of mu collection to Comic Book Connection Intiative ( which donates to children's hospitals, foster homes etc) and Operation Comix Relief ( they donate to overseas troops)
Currently gotten rid of probably 300 books; and boxing up another 50 or so this week.
Both are great programs if you're looking to get rid of some of your longbox clutter.

once again, Bendis fails at the basic concept, "Show, don't Tell".

At some point, did they start making Cap's shield out of plastic? It's been broken in like the last three events.

I got caught up on Green Lantern today. I'm definitely excited for the next issue.

Saw that...they're giving away pretty much every #1 issue in their catalog. Right AFTER I spend 8 bucks on Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy!

That Cap image, with the associated text and the story is actually pretty good.
But I have to admit I was expecting a stressed out hobo looking Hank Pym rather than sadCap when they were talking about coming up with a plan to stop Ultron

Just as well. Busiek did that story, and did it very, very well. No need for anyone else to trample it.
