Act Raiser was terrific game. THe side scrolling missions werent needlesly complicated and the level building was fun.

If I have one complaint, it's that Jirard said that Enix didn't have anything of note before this game, when they really did have a certain fantasy RP series that came out on the NES/Famicom and were pretty darn successful; namely, Dragon Quest/Warrior.
Though I absolutely agree that the damn beeping text is a pain in the ass.

Yeah, his ignoring of Enix's flagship series, the number one RPG franchise in Japan was a little baffling to me.
Though I do know that he doesn't care for the early installments, he's mentioned it before. So that might be why.
