Ryback's been after the Shield for months, but they make him have stare downs with Mark Henry, so much so he seems to forget his issues with the Shield and actually has to be ASKED by Orton and Sheamus to join.
Big Show has a 2 week problem with the Shield and wants to join Orton and Sheamus. They tell him they've already got someone.
Ryback is attacked and destroyed by Henry, but still wants to fight the Shield. Vickie has to change the card, for some reason, so she DEMANDS that Ryback face Henry at Mania.
Big Show then runs to the ring on Monday, despite being told Orton and Sheamus don't want him, to help out against the Shield.
Seriously, who is writing this shit? This is for Wrestlemania?! The Shield deserve SO much better than this lazy clusterf***.

Everyone deserves better than this lazy clusterf***.
I've been much more cynical about wrestling recently than in years past, so it's tough for me to give a fair opinion, but is this just the laziest, sloppiest road to WM in memory?

You forgot to mention how Big Show had been a heel for the past year and decided its time for a change 2 weeks ago. It made no sense.
The booking this year is horrible

In fairness, two weeks ago I thought they were going to have a 12-man tag with Shield, Henry, Show and Fandango vs Sheamus, Ryback, Orton, Jericho, Khali and Miz. Things could be a lot worse than what we're getting.

even though it makes no sense for Ryback not to fight Shield at WM, they finally have one match I want to see at RematchMania that being Ryback vs Mark Henry

Ryback not being in the match is ridiculous.
However if you ignore that aspect the Big Show part makes much more sense, Orton and Sheamus don't trust Big Show but at WM one of them turns heel, it's wrestling booking 101. Hopefully they can turn without joining The Shield though as that would almost certainly ruin the stable.

I think it got to the point, where they didn't want Ryback to lose to the Shield again, but not being ready for the Shield to lose. Sheamus/Ryback/Big Show can lose and not be hurt. Another loss for Ryback to the Shield would've been horrible for them.

The booking of these two matches bother me more than anything else. It is like they are purposely designed to make sure that NOTHING from April - February outside of Triple H/Lesnar meant a goddamn thing for Wrestlemania. You know, the total opposite of what it should be!

I think this could finally lead to the Orton/Show program Big Show admits he wants. Orton turns on Show which leads to him being pinned, but also doesn't admit Orton is the leader of The Shield.

If there's any proof that creative can not think two weeks ahead, here it is.

yeah it's incredibly thrown together, like everything else about Mania this year. I'm predicting another Wrestlemania 27 debacle.

It's awful. Team Face is basically a bunch of guys randomly thrown together because they have nothing else to do. Plus I can't stand Sheamus and Orton and have no desire to see them win.

yeah without Ryback involved I have no reason to cheer for anyone. Orton's boring, Sheamus is boring AND obnoxious, and Show is turning face again, which means he'll probably go back to being boring job-fodder like he always is when he's a face. there is legitimately no invested reason to want the faces to win without Ryback.

Mania 27's kind of the bottom of the barrel recently (though at least Orton / Punk and Rey / Cody were pretty good, and personally Taker / Trips is my match of the year for 2011 with only Christian / del Rio from Extreme Rules worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as it), personally I don't think there's been a good Mania since 24. Which is a much bigger part of why I'm skipping this year's than the fact that I haven't been watching.

All I know is, Ryback is the one who would most benefit from giving The Shield their first loss, which means it's probably going to Sheamus. Or Big Show.

I suppose they want the Wrestlemania moment of Ryback Shellshocking Henry (will he be able to pull it off?).
It really doesn't make sense to have Shield's first loss (assuming they do lose at WM) and not have Ryback be a part of it. He's literally been involved with them since day one.

I have the memory of a goldfish, but can someone tell me if they've already done just The Shield vs. Ryback by himself?

At this point I think WWE has no interest in putting Ryback over The Shield. So it's probably best he moves on.

I have the memory of a goldfish, but can someone tell me if they've already done just The Shield vs. Ryback by himself? On Raw, but it never actually officially started because Shield jumped him before the match could start. It'd make a lot of sense for it to get his revenge over Shield, but it seems to be going to White Viper Show or possibly Insert NXT Indie Guy Here.
