I thought it looked cool. If they do a decent story, it could make some okay money.

I'm of two minds about it.
I'm glad that Ant-Man is getting a movie, and that any second-tier Marvel character now has a chance. What's more, I really like the look of the Ant suit.
However, seeing Ant-Man in live action is definitely cheesy, more so than your usual superhero film. I think it's the seriousness of the presentation that brings that up, like they aren't really aware of how goofy the Ant-Man premise will seem to some people. I thought maybe since Edgar Wright was attached to it, it'd be a little less serious than something like Captain America or Incredible Hulk, and that would separate it a little.
Regardless, not counting any chickens before they hatch. The fact is, Ant-Man is getting a movie, and I'm pretty hyped.

I've only been so-so about the Marvel films of late. Iron Man was great - everything else...eh.
Wright's got a style that I like this should be a good one.

As long as it's Henry Pym, this could be an awesome movie.

I'm sure the movie will be fantastic, Edgar Wright has yet to make a bad film. The only problem I see is marketing. If you thought Guardians of the Galaxy was out there, how can you sell a man who can change his size and who's name is sometimes followed by snickers?

simple. make the visuals all about how different things are at that size, and make the adds acknowledge that even at an inch tall he maintains his base strength. and it probably wouldn't hurt if they let him be Giant-man a bit and give him cool gadgets like what Dan Slott did in his way-too-short run on Avengers. basically make him like 60's Batman but without the ridiculous levels of camp and add in the size changing gimmick. Hank's a lot more multi-dimensional than "guy who shrinks". since Marvel's not getting Reed Richards back any time soon they can always make Hank out to be the smartest guy in the MCU, too.
and, though some may say this is blaphemy, incorporate some of Scott Lang into Hank. maybe make him be forced by some criminals to use his shrinking suit to help them, and he outsmarts them and in the second act, they kidnap his girlfriend Janet and he has to save her. there, I wrote the entire first 2 parts of the movie ad it took me 2 minutes.
I know it's a tough sell but I hope this movie is somewhat successful because Hank's my favorite avenger along with Clint.

As long as it's Henry Pym Eric O'Grady, this could be an awesome movie.

"Video does not exist" I recently read Essential Ant-Man, and I've actually grown to really like Henry Pym. He's kind of a curmudgeon compared to the other superheroes, and not in a cool anti-hero way like Wolverine or The Punisher. He's just a grumpy science geek, who doesn't like to hang out with anybody besides his ants and maybe his girlfriend, who he doesn't really know how to be good to even though he wants to be. He also seems a little bit schizophrenic, like the other heroes know exactly what their identity is and who they want to be, but Pym doesn't know if he wants to be Ant-Man or Giant-Man (funnily enough, even though the book was called Essential Ant-Man I'd say he spent the vast majority of the book as Giant-Man) or Yellowjacket, or what.

these days he goes by Giant-Man, but most people just call him Hank for simplicity.

I know it's a tough sell but I hope this movie is somewhat successful because Hank's my favorite avenger along with Clint. They should save the Giant-Man stuff for a sequel, but they absolutely need to stress the fact that he maintains his full strength while at ant-size, since I imagine way too many people overlook that.

Sweet, I got to see the test reel this time! It looks pretty cool. The more I think about it, this could be really cool. The visual possibilities of shrinking in movies had already been well established by films like "The Incredible Shrinking Man" and "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids", but this adds a whole other dimension.

He looks like Kamen Rider in that footage, and that's not a bad thing, really.

Would have preferred Luke Cage and I'd have thought he'd be easier to make a movie about but if this gives him a chance to have a film with Iron Fist getting in somewhere, I'm all for it. Although having Janet is kinda needed, Pym isn't really your standard hero sort to carry a film by himself from what I've seen of him.

I want Hank more than any of the others, but that footage screamed 'thief' to me, so I am now expecting Lang.
I dont think O'Grady has the slightest chance of even getting a name drop.
