I just can't help but laugh at the critic that said The Croods movie is a animated Avatar. After all there was never a critical acclaimed beloved cartoon series called Avatar, a series that lasted 3 seasons and 61 episodes.
It is amasing how the mainstream never heard of Avatar: The Last Airbender in large part thanks to two men, James Cameron and M. Night Shyamalan.
It doesn't bother me, I just find that comment ironic and funny.

In my opinion, I think Avatar is this generations Ghostbusters. James Cameron's Avatar being the Columbia pictures movie franchise, and Avatar: The Last Airbender being the Filmination's Ghostbusters.

James Camerons Avatar was mostly animated too Yeah, I was going to say, it's got to be 90-95% computer animation. At that point, we have to concede that it's an animated movie.

I don't really know if it's fair to fault adult movie critics for not being immediately familiar with a Nick cartoon from the 2000s.
