I was thinking about how much some wrestlers lose their builds with age, and then about these recent pictures of Warrior: The Ultimate Warrior was every bit as juiced, tanned, and buffed as Hogan was, yet he's still absurdly ripped for a 53-year old, and especially when compared to other people of his generation. Hogan and Flair are both leathery and saggy as hell, and Flair's body looks like a Biblical plague nowadays. I know they're both older than Warrior, but even the Undertaker has been saggy and sort of lacking in recent years. Granted, there's probably some supplements at play here (see also: Sylvester Stallone) but it's definitely not the only case of some wrestlers being able to keep their muscles better with age. On the other extreme you have Adrian Street who's in his 70s and still looks like You also have Sammartino, who I figure is because he never juiced and was always more of a natural build versus a bodybuilder build, but that still doesn't explain Warrior. Is it just better genetics? It certainly isn't from a lack of supplements since it's pretty obvious he was on the juice back then, but I dunno.

If you've ever seen the guy without his jacket in recent years you'd know the answer.
'Lots and lots of roids. And, an unhealthy obsession with what would be considered an extreme work out at his age.

Injuries might come into play as well. IIRC Warrior never was injured anywhere nearly as badly as Hogan, Flair and Taker have been.

And Warrior has been on the road 1 or 2 years out of the last 20.

Warrior works out like a maniac these days as well. Some of the workouts he made those rock bands do on Warrior TV he does himself believe it or not.
He may be on the juice but I venture to say not nearly as much as he was since he isn't on the road now.

I don't know. I think for the Warrior case who hasn't been on the road full time since 96 and even then wasn't a full year and there was years in between that from 93 to 96. You add that to not having much in injuries. Plus since 98 he has one match and the rest was at home doing whatever he wanted. He worked out lot to be in the shape he is in now. To maintain and look good can happen if your healthy and didn't have many injuries and is motivated.
Taker been on the road for years. Over did it at times from not taking a break. Been in some more demanding matches like HIAC and most all the matches with Foley. That is why Taker is how he is now because he so beat up. Hogan same thing and Flair same thing.

He might have a great physique but his recent matches show that he's got zero for cardio.

He might have a great physique but his recent matches show that he's got zero for cardio. Yup. Basically other factors is how did they train? Bruno Sammartino trained his body for strength and was a legit strongman who nearly qualified for the Olympics. Warrior and Hogan trained to maintain a amazing physique and not so much on strength and cardio. Someone like Shawn Michaels workouts was 90% cardio and a little bit of weights. Plus I'm surprised Warrior is only 53 I thought he was older. But yeah he's mostly training to maintain his appearance.

'Taker, Flair and Hogan never had the body Warrior had; they were all muscular to different degrees, but were never had anywhere near Warrior's definition.

I wouldn't say Warrior has an un-healthy obsession with working out. It is a passion of his. Everyone has passions and lifting is his. Warrior at his age is probably on HGH now like Stallone is. Which is fine because they are getting older.
You have to remember that Warrior doesn't really do that much traveling and has time to prepare his diet properly in order to maintain the physique. If you lift you know 80 or 90% of it is Diet and the other is lifting/doing whatever.
I agree with you guys on Undertaker. Undertaker around the Shawn Michaels matches was jacked for being 45 or 46. You can tell he has been sitting around now because of injuries. I mean Undertaker looked bigger than ever during those Michaels matches muscle wise.
Also it is harder to maintain as you get older. Everyone knows that. That is why a lot of guys bodies turn to crap unless you have the discipline which many do not. I mean look at Michaels at the DX reunion back in July. Looked terrible. He is not going hard anymore in the gym (not that he has to, dude is retired and enjoying life).
Also to make a "It's Always Sunny" reference, Hogan was all glamor muscles
