... and Vice Versa.
As seen on the boards and really elsewhere, there seems to be a friendly rivalry between Americans and those from the British Isles. You can go to any one of the two groups and get diatribes about the differences between the two countries. With that said though, I've never really heard a Brit's opinion on our friendly neighbors from the North and vice versa. So, with that said British and Canadian FAN members. how do you feel about each other's countries?

They all wear snazzy red outfits, have cool hats and ride horses.
Oh, and they always get their man!

The Queen is the only thing preventing you lot from becoming Americans.

As an American I feel safe and quite knowledgable in assuming the English regard Canada as the earnest and dorky youngest offspring in contrast to the loud mouthed rebellious party animal oldest kid known as the US or the weird and slightly criminal middle child that is Australia.

They don't. Canadians are basically us Americans' imaginary friends.
Yeah, I dunno what prompted me to say that. Also oddly I think this subject's come up before.

What about New Zealand and India? Lord of the Ring creators and we're still bitter about Ghandi

In general I'd say Canadians are more similar to us(I'm English). We seem to share a similar sense of humour is the main thing I've noticed.
In terms of my opinion of them, it's hard to have one about a whole nation of different people. But all in all I'd say I like the country and it's people... especially Wolverine and Chris Jericho.

I've always assumed that they don't think about us much. We don't really project much of an image outside our borders.

I like Canada, it's my 2nd favourite country behind Japan. Would love to go to Calgary or Vancouver one day.

I've always looked upon Canada in a good light. Not meaning to offend people here but stereotypically I think of the States as the completely nuts brother of a friend of mine, the friend being Canada.

The British see Canada as everyone else does. The largest US National Park.
Of course, to them, Canadian citizens are still more civilized than we are, 'cause least they have the brains to make decent alcohol.

I don't know. We have a mutual interest of rioting. When a underdog Canadian hockey team has a deep playoff run or when the heavily favored Canadian team loses in the Stanley Cup final Canada riots. Same with Brotish people and there football teams

I've lived in Toronto, so I can perhaps have a view from both. There are certainly colonial hang ups and perceptions some people have (drinking tea) and our love for our monarch. With many older members of the population I had met, many would warmly express stories of their visits to England and their excitement at William and Kate's wedding. I'm sure when I was living there (2010/2011) The Queen might have done a state visit to Ottawa.
Outside of some 'Britishisms' that I would gently be teased about (jumper not sweater, how I pronounce garage, street not sidewalk, etc).
Most were fascinated by my accent and if I lived in London. They were always so warm and friendly. Without getting political, I really don't like Stephen Harper.
Toronto's TTC network was as unreliable as London's so we could share in our dislike of public transport.
I met plenty of migrants from the UK, first or second generation, Canada is very welcoming in that sense, so many people were extremely hospitable.
I have a great love of Canada. I miss living there. However, England is my home. I do intend to re-visit at some point and head out to see some friends in Vancouver.

I was born in England and live in Canada so I can safely say that I like both my halves. It makes sense to me.
