I use to really like TNA, granted it had its problems. But it was a good alternative to WWE. In recent years my interest has faded, blown angles, misused talent, guys leaving, a lot of the problems mentioned each week on this board. Then last I was thinking about it, what keeps me coming back each week? It's Sting.
He's my 2nd favorite wrestler ever, only next to HBK. He's kinda like wrestlings Batman, dark but always standing up for justice. I know he can't go in the ring very good anymore, but just him going threw his key spots interests more then anything else on the show. I keep thinking if this was 97 Sting, he could defeat A&8s on his own.
I'm kinda rambling at this point, but does anybody share this opinion? Or only watch the show for one or two guys, it's kinda like around 04 when Smackdown was awesome, but Raw was awful and I only kept watching for Jericho & HBK.

I think Sting is one good point of an overall great product at the moment. I in no way agree that TNA is awful, it's actually more like the opposite, an overall good product with one or two guys who shouldn't be there.

The amazing thing about Sting is in spite of all the goofy/dubious crap he's been through in TNA, he's kept his dignity and status for the most part. Still an energy to him that makes you want to see him appear.

Watch wrestling for just one or two guys?
My opinion is you should probably just go. It's gotta be a chore for you.

I'd like to think that Smackdown was the awful brand in 2004. You sure you got the year right?
Anyway, there have been MUCH worse periods of TNA (IMO...'07-'08, '10-'11). I quite enjoy today's product. If you survived the years I mentioned, I'd think TNA today would be a breeze.

I wouldn't say 'only', but he was what got me watching TNA (fairly) consistently to begin with and he's still a big part of why I continue to do so.
I've been a Sting fan since '93. Twenty years now.

I'm the opposite. I watch TNA in spite of Sting. I used to be a huge Sting fan as a kid but the last few years with him aping the Cesar Romero version of the Joker and Jim Carrey's the Mask and Ace Ventura has been some really rough moments. His lovey lovey friendship with Hulk isn't helping either.

I don't watch just for Sting, but I think he's very good in his role. He wrestles just enough, and shows a lot of energy in the talking segments backstage and in the ring.

I used to joke that TNA was so bad, they have both Sting and Kurt Angle and yet I still don't wanna watch it.

The segment with Sting and Hulk on Impact tonight was awesome. I was really behind Sting finally telling Hogan to f*** off and take the blame himself.

To be honest, I've really gotten into the Knockouts division lately, and I love Mickie James and Madison Rayne, and Gail Kim. And I'm being honest, they're matches are very entertaining. I wish Madison would take her Queen B gimmick even further

The segment with Sting and Hulk on Impact tonight was awesome. I was really behind Sting finally telling Hogan to f*** off and take the blame himself. That was so great, especially since most on here have been saying this since Sting "talked" him into supporting Bully Ray. To see someone finally call out Hogan for his B.S. (even if it was kayfabe) was awesome. Add in Hogan's wealass response, which only enhanced Stings' point, and nit was GREAT.
