If Hogan is old, Flair, Funk and Rhodes must be ancient.

That sucks for Hogan. I hope it's nothing serious.

Don't worry, he'll be back around 'Mania time to make sure his new DVD gets the promotion it deserves.

I thought the title was "Hulk Hogan on crotches". Either way, I don't envy Hogan.

I guess years of doing the leg drop of doom has done a number on the Hulkster's hip, brother!

BREAKING NEWS!!! Hogan's knee and hip are acting up, and with Austin's situation, the Mania match has been changed. It will now feature the Hulkster facing off against every single cruiserweight on the roster, anyone else under the age of 35, and, somehow, the entire OVW roster. The finish will see Hogan victorious when Ric Flair makes a run in and is pinned with a single leg drop. That is all.

Somewhere and somehow there will be people jumping up and down and defending the match because 'hey, I watched Hogan as a kid!' or 'hogan made wrestling!', which are perfect excuses for having a half-crippled old man beat up a bunch of guys trying to make careers.

I like the new Mania main event... good for those OVW I figured Hogan would figure they weren't worthy to squash... I figured he's use Flair like his job boy and then squash anyone getting a push like Hassan was.

Here is a revelation. Most of those guys trying to make a career would be delighted to share the ring with that half-crippled old fool.

I try not to doubt El Dandy, but alas, I must. Sharing a ring with a legend is an honor for a young guy, to be certain. However, and yeah, so this is off topic, but oh well, the point of putting a young guy you want to get over with a veteran is for the veteran to make the young guy. WHen ol' Terry comes back, the opposite applies. If he's tagiging with a young guy, the guy gets the rub, or does the job, one of the two. But if he's facing a young guy, the young guy has the distintion of carrying him while, at the same time, doing a job. So Joe Mark will say, "wow, Hulkster came back and really showed that young guy a thing or two" while the young guy then gets to go on and, ususally, go further down the card.

I don't think Hogan has a problem jobbing to any young guy as long as he is set up to be the next big thing (y'know, like what he did for the Warrior or Goldberg or Brock or The Rock, even though he was already established as a star). And how is it going to hurt someones career if they lose to a huge star? Lets see people bag on Flair for his wins against Jericho and Carlito (remember, those two guys tapped out to the figure four, a move that is regularly reversed these days).

I will give you Goldberg to a degree, though if you recall that whole show was "make the guy jump through hoops, and then get the inspirational win" deal in front of his home crowd. Brock did get put over as well. The Rock was already a mainstream success, so to me it's more of a "legends" match thing.
With Flair, his matches iwth Jericho and Carlito are perfect examples of what i'm talking about. Yes, Flair went over, you're right. But the guys got a TON of offense in. Hell, in Carlito's case, he got in more offense than he had in months in the IC title loss. It's not necessarily about just going over. If Hogan worked young guys, and, even if he went over, he got dominated at points or let the opponent get in a TON of offense, that would still get the guy over. But we all know the exact formula for Hogan matches.
