For me, it's between Spider-Man 3 and Iron Man 2.

Spider-Man 3. X-Men 3 is a mess, but in a chaotic way that's somewhat in Batman & Robin area where it's so bad you can have fun riffing it with friends.
Superman Returns has a few bright spots and has alot of stuff that's good on paper, bad in execution, and visually is pretty.
Spider-Man 3...is ugly, terrible CGI that was over relied on during it, terrible plot, terrible acting, and terrible portrayals. Not just Venom either, Gwen, Peter, Harry, MJ, Sandman, take your pick, they all suffer during this film. There is something just inherently wrong with seeing Peter strike MJ or watching Sam trivialize the symbiote era of Peter Parker.

Iron Man 2, it was the one I had expectations for. It had the same director and we didn't hear all kinds of rumors of studio interference. It was built on a great foundation of the first movie.
The others weren't very good, but I didn't expect any of them to be.

X-Men 3. X2 set up a great sequel, and the adds made it look great. Then... that happened.

I think I'm the only one who liked Iron Man 2 as much as the first. Plot had some issues but Rockwell and Rourke are a blast and the end fight is a lot of fun.

Hulk, no question.
When even critics say there's too much sappiness and too little action you KNOW you missed the point of the Big Green Grouch.

Might as well be one of those guys that profess my enjoyment of X-Men 3. I liked it the first time I saw it, and just recently watched it again on DVD, and I actually liked it more. I have no knowledge of the comics, just to be clear. I guess I just found it to be a fun action film to watch.

Blade Trinity.
2 awesome movies before it and now they were setting the stage by bringing Dracula in to face off with Blade...this was lookin to be the epic finale that the day walker deserved.
And then there is absoloutley nothing but dissapointment...and as the movie progresses this movie goes from dissapointing to downright piss poor in every single aspect and turns into a outright shame.

Hitchcock, and it's not really close.

Oh, and I vote X3. I still get irked that they took the Dark Phoenix saga, which is a grand epic Cyclops/Jean love story, then kill off Cyke offscreen with no build and shove Jean to the background so the overexposed Canadian and Oscar winner Halle Berry can take up 90 minutes of screen time. {Spoiler}Then they make a big deal out of killing off Professor X and depowering Magneto, only to undo both of those moments before the movie's over...provided you stick around after the credits for one of them.

The thing is, that movie did a damned good job of capturing the feel of the Incredible Hulk book in the 80s which was way more about the emotional state of Bruce than it was smashing. That movie to me lacked one thing, a good villain, otherwise it was a damned good Hulk movie.

Hitchcock, and it's not really close. Anthony Hopkins didn't even get into his costume!

X3 was very painful for me to watch in the theaters from start to finish and I didn't know the things like Ratner being the director and shit like that. Spiderman 3 had some good moments.

X-Men 3. X2 was one of my favorite superhero movies and following it up with that garbage disappointed me so much.

Sadly, I voted for Spiderman 3 before really thinking it through. I guess of the major movies recently released, it probably is the most disappointing to me.
However, after thinking about it, I have to say "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" was probably the most disappointing superhero movie to me. When I heard the title and read a short synopsis of the plot, I thought maybe it had potential. What if the girlfriend's clingy and obsessive attitude drove the boyfriend into the arms of her archenemy? What if they archenemy ended up being a horrible terror in public, but truly a sweet and caring person in private with the boyfriend, while the ex-girlfriend superhero is the complete opposite?
Instead it was just a goofy slapstick comedy with unfunny eye rolling gag after unfunny eye rolling gag. Worse, had the sexes been reversed...a girl being stalked like that by a boy super hero, the movie most likely would have been made into a horror movie or been dead serious and scary or something. Just stupid drivel. I think because of my unrealistic and high hopes, that that's why I was so disappointed.
