Me thinks:
1) Angle 2) Personal demons 3) Legit retirement
It sounds...interesting, though.

The past 3 days has been a "WTF is going on?!!" weekend.
Sounds like this been a long time coming for Charlie and this weekend just expedited his decision and brought about his bizarre actions yesterday.

Its a shame because he's such a talent, but good luck to him.

If it's legit, Charlie went out on a high note. The big criticism in WWE was his lack of a personality. After arriving in ROH, he proved people wrong and showed that he wasn't holding himself back, he was being held back. To me, Haas will be like Daniels and Cabana as the best ROH stars to never hold the ROH World Title as I really thought he would make a great heel Champion.
Ok, I didn't read that all, that is....odd?

Sounds very much like Haas forced his hand and quit. Quite unprofessional way to go out.

I kind of wonder if Reid Flair's passing was just the straw that broke a camel's back, considering the descriptions of how he seemed to be acting, which seems rather out-of-character for him.

Scrubs? Is he becoming a nurse or something? Well, the man's got bills to pay.

According to him he is going to be a spine and neck associate going forward.

I read somewhere earlier today (can't remember where) that he was upset that they did the Reid Flair 10-bell salute during the intermission, rather than prior to the show.

Cade died? When did that happen? About 2 1/2 years ago.

I had no idea that Cade died. I just figured he fell off the radar after his WWE tenure ended and his former tag partner had a brief TNA run solo.
I guess Charlie being a "Haashole" isn't just a gimmick.
If he wanted to retire, FINE, no big loss in my opinion. He could have held out for 1 more freakin' week, though, and had the match that ROH has spent considerable time building (and delaying Shelton's WWE return to have occur) before taking his ball and going home. In fact, there would be no more fitting way to end a career than facing his longtime tag partner.

I almost guessed at first that this was some kind of early April Fool's joke, but it apparently isn't.
I hope he has a good life post-wrestling.
