I really hope this is a work because, if not, it sounds like he's really not in a good place.
That's not to say I don't think he should retire if he wants to and be with his family, but given the deaths that have surrounded him in particular, reading about what happened sounds like the actions of someone seriously hurting.
I'm not giving him a pass for what he did, but I can't imagine the pain of what he's gone through.

I'll just say that I have no problem with anyone shooting on wrestling for all of the bullshit that it puts the guys through. Wrestling is like porn, they use you up and spit you out, because there's always someone willing to come in and do what you won't. The business doesn't care about the boys, the boys should make as much as they can and get out while they can.

Scrubs? Is he becoming a nurse or something? No, he's just moving on to a career of impersonating actors from old TV shows. He's starting with Zach Braff.

Interesting to note that the post event ROH video didn't mention Haas so...possibly real?
As much as it looks real and I can totally understand why he retired (despite the fact he acted like, well, a Haashole), at the end of the day, this is still pro wrestling. The words "Worked" and "Shoot" are in its vocabulary. I really hope I am wrong, though.

What an odd situation. I always liked Haas and hope he has a great life post wrestling. But this is all random as hell.

I'm not sure I buy into the backstage stuff as happening. There is just so little talk about it, along with so many people praising Haas that it makes no sense. I'm thinking they might have leaked that stuff and did the promo stuff to keep the Haashole stuff alive just in case.

Didn't he marry Shaniqua of tough enough fame?

Didn't he marry Shaniqua of tough enough fame? No, Shaniqua was Linda Miles. He married Jackie Gayda aka Rico's Miss Jackie.

I really liked his work in ROH as a singles guy and with WGTT. I wish him all the best. He deserves to leave the business with his head held high.

One would think it was safe to assume he was obviously acting weird backstage before the match. Why did they let him go out there in the first place?

Take this with a grain of salt, but some people are reporting that Haas appeared to be legitimately intoxicated at the event.

What a strange series of events.
If it's real, good luck to whatever you do with your life, Haas. You've given more than most to the business, you more than deserve the right to get out when you want and on your terms.
